In the TV interview Monday, McConnell suggested that many conservatives harbored false expectations for the Senate GOP majority, which is six Republicans short of a filibuster-proof margin and 13 shy of a veto-proof majority.

What a crock...he and Boehner both said that if only we'd vote for Republicans and give them control of the Senate, then they would hold Obama's feet to the fire.

I think they're just scared to death of a full-fledge MSM lynch mob, like the treatment the Class of '94 got the minute they were sworn in. And Bob Dole got the same treatment, Clinton and Dickie "Toe-Sucker" Morris making sure that he was bracketed with Newt Gingrich, who got most of the hate treatment.

Boehner and McConnell were around back then, and they're still hiding in the closet, trembling at the sound of Andrea Mitchell's twangy voice.
