Mitch McConnell: This Congress won’t be able to defund Planned Parenthood
Washington Post ^ | 9/1/15 | Mike DeBonis

Attempts by Congress to strip Planned Parenthood of federal funding are destined to fail as long as President Obama is in office, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said.

"We just don't have the votes to get the outcome that we'd like," McConnell said in an interview taped Monday with WYMT-TV, which serves eastern Kentucky. "I would remind all of your viewers, the way you make a law in this country, the Congress has to pass it, and the president has to sign it. The president's made it very clear he's not going to sign any bill that includes defunding of Planned Parenthood so that's another issue that awaits a new president hopefully with a different point of view."

McConnell's comments put him at odds with hard-line members of his own party who are pushing to use the approaching Oct. 1 deadline for funding the federal government as leverage to force Obama and congressional Democrats to defund Planned Parenthood. A series of undercover videos released over the course of the summer has whipped up conservative outrage over the group's practices regarding the harvesting of fetal tissue for research. While federal money is already banned from being spent directly on abortions, Planned Parenthood opponents say Medicaid reimbursements and other federal grants indirectly support the group.

They’re able, just not willing due to an assortment of bribes and blackmailings.

The Republicans are always thinking long-term. They have a complex, strategic gameplan in operation at all times. They are constantly outwitting and outmaneuvering their opponents. They have Obama guessing at every turn, embarrassing him repeatedly throughout his presidency. The Boehner-McConnell team has made a laughing stock of the Obama White House. Grass-roots conservatives take no small measure of pride in their leadership./s

Then, McConnell and his so-called "conservatives" should place this President in the position of vetoing the bill and ask one of the knowledgeable Constitutional scholars from the Taxed Enough Already movement to explain in an articulate and direct way that Jefferson, the Auther of our Declaration might beg to disagree with his unwillingness to stand up for liberty, and against the "progressives'" coercive insistence on forcing taxpaying individual citizens to fund their population control mechanism called "Planned Parenthood." Jefferson:
“To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”

So make Obama veto it, on the record.

Beat him over the head with it.

“In the TV interview Monday, McConnell suggested that many conservatives harbored false expectations for the Senate GOP majority, which is six Republicans short of a filibuster-proof margin and 13 shy of a veto-proof majority.”

Its never enough for these criminals. That they can not even make a case for doing away with mutilation and infanticide is pathetic. The truth is their big money donors don’t have a problem with it. Somebody is make a lot of money from it.

Another GOPe sandbag job.

This isn’t just about aborted babies. That is what the media would like everyone to think.

They want people to think that this is just about those racist prejudiced women hating old conservatives with their knickers twisted because a women’s right to choose is law of the land. Same old same old./s

Not one mention of the laws being broken by these Planned Parenthood ghouls. Not one word about human organs being harvested to be grown in animals. Live babies being used as organ transport containers to be delivered to scientists to perform their obscene experiments instead of those babies being helped to live as the law requires. The sale of human body parts for money from babies living and dead means nothing to them.

If they actually wanted to put an end to this illegal practice, they could do it. Boehner and McConnell both need to wake up and make a 180 degree turn from their current ways. There is no way I will ever vote for any member of Congress who votes to fund these ghouls.

If Mitch is not willing to stand up and fight, why don’t he just resign and go back to Kentucky? Pathetic POS.

What an idiot. This is the time to make Obama shut down the government, if necessary. Put the bill on his desk and let America see where the democrat party stands on selling baby parts.

Congress makes law? With how the squatter in the white hut has been acting, you’d think the president makes law with a pen and phone.

If McConnell had been senator in the 1930s he would have been entertaining lobbyists for domestic exporters of oven parts and insecticides to Germany.

I really hate these two losers and their enabling cronies.

I think they're just scared to death of a full-fledge MSM lynch mob, like the treatment the Class of '94 got the minute they were sworn in. And Bob Dole got the same treatment, Clinton and Dickie "Toe-Sucker" Morris making sure that he was bracketed with Newt Gingrich, who got most of the hate treatment.

Boehner and McConnell were around back then, and they're still hiding in the closet, trembling at the sound of Andrea Mitchell's twangy voice.

All McConnell has to say: “This President and many Democrats on capitol hill think it’s okay to abort a baby and then take it’s brain out through its face, so that they can then sell that brain. Anyone who believes such a thing is sick.”

The BEST that can be said about Yertle McChinless is that he is lazy, spineless as well as chinless, unresourseful, and stupid.
We watch as the Demmunists maneuver, forcing the abominable ObamaCare on Americans who overwhelming realize it is horrible legislation.
The Dems do this by resorting to all manner of deceit, phony parliamentary maneuvers, etc., but one way or another they are resourceful, if dishonest, and get done what they want.
Similarly, the Demmunists and Obama get the traitorous Iran Nuclear Deal done by, again, deceit and morphing what Constitutionally should be a Treaty, requiring 2/3rds ratification by the Senate, into a phony political process that, instead, requires one-third of the Senate to be able to fight off an attempt to override his veto.
Yertle, we are to believe, is incapable of managing anything similar to get rid of the immoral Planned Parenthood.
The WORST that can be said about Yertle, is that instead of being the "loyal opposition" he is actually a traitor to the Constitution, and complicit in the evil being wrought by the Commicrats.
