Obama Admin: There’s Not “Sufficient Reason” to Justify De-Funding Planned Parenthood
Life News ^ | Steven Ertelt Sep 1, 2015

The state of Louisiana is in court fighting for its right to de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business after it was caught selling aborted babies and their body parts. But the Obama administration thinks differently.

The Planned Parenthood abortion business has filed a lawsuit against the state of Louisiana after Governor Bobby Jindal made the decision to yank its taxpayer funding. Today, in court papers filed the same day a 9th video showed the abortion company selling aborted babies, the Obama administration sided with Planned Parenthood in the lawsuit.

AP has more on the Obama administration’s reaction today:

The U.S. Justice Department is telling a federal judge that Gov. Bobby Jindal’s decision to oust Planned Parenthood from Louisiana’s Medicaid program appears to violate federal law. In a court filing, the DOJ says the Jindal administration hasn’t offered “sufficient reasons” to keep Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast’s clinics in New Orleans and Baton Rouge from receiving Medicaid payments.

The legal brief, called a “statement of interest,” was filed Monday night ahead of a Wednesday hearing to determine whether Planned Parenthood will get a temporary restraining order blocking Jindal’s efforts. Jindal, a Republican presidential candidate, cited a provision in state law that allows cancellation of a Medicaid provider agreement with 30-day notice.

When Louisiana cut Planned Parenthood funding Jindal’s office said, “Governor Jindal and DHH decided to give the required 30-day notice to terminate the Planned Parenthood Medicaid provider contract because Planned Parenthood does not represent the values of the State of Louisiana in regards to respecting human life. Pending the ongoing investigation, DHH reserves the right to amend the cancellation notice and terminate the provider agreement immediately should cause be determined.”

The governor said the state health department has “concerns that Planned Parenthood could be acting in violation of Louisiana law that states no person or group contracting with the state or receiving government assistance shall require or recommend that any woman have an abortion. The state investigation into Planned Parenthood remains ongoing.”

After Louisiana and other states yanked taxpayer funding, the Obama administration threatened them — but Louisiana officials indicated they would stand their ground.

Mike Reed, a spokesman for Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R), indicated the state and its Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) are standing by its decision.” He cited a provision in the state Medicaid contract allowing either party to cancel it at will, with 30 days notice.

“CMS reached out to DHH after we canceled the Medicaid provider contract with Planned Parenthood,” Reed said. “DHH explained to CMS why the state chose to exercise our right to cancel the contract without cause.”

Last week, pro-life Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal expertly trolled the pro-Planned Parenthood protestors who showed up to the governor’s mansion to protest his decision to cut Planned Parenthood funding and investigate the abortion business for selling aborted babies.

Jindal played on a loop all of the seven expose’ videos showing how the abortion company sells the body parts of aborted babies. But the Planned Parenthood protesters refused to watch them — apparently the truth was too much to take. On Twitter, Jindal responded to them and how they refused to view the videos.

There is no justification in giving them one red cent of U.S. Taxpayer’s money.

Abortion is the 11th commandment of liberalism.

Somehow the MSM forgets to point out that it’s conservatives who are trying to save the lives of future Democrat voters.

There will never be sufficient reason to them. PP can do whatever it wants to do. It is above the law.

I agree.

And you know what, I concede that what was done at Auschwitz was to adult humans, which I think is far worse.

Both are a loss to humanity and equal in the eyes of God, IMO.

None the less, adult people, with families, community connections, and business relationships, that is on an elevated scale. The human suffering.

None the less, what is happening to the unborn is on a scale that qualifies as genocide.

Human beings are being exterminated, and their offspring is not being realized, or for that matter all their contributions to humanity.

Who knows potential mental super-stars we have eliminated for expediency’s sake?

Maybe one would have cured cancer, but the mom wanted a girl.

Great line...

Wow!

These days my only suggestion would be...

“Maybe she could have cured cancer, but mom wanted a boy.”

This strikes right at the demographic we’re targeting.

Talk about eliminating women, now that’s important.

Boys? Eh, not so much...

This you could easily put in the rear window of your car, and probably not have to worry about vandalism.

Just putting pro-life there would make your car a target.

Well of course there is no sufficient reason, because Obama and his motley crew derive enjoyment from the idea that millions of unborn babies have been slaughtered on the latter day alter of Baal.

Obama himself said that “he was really good at killing people” (referring to his propensity to order drone strikes), the fact is, Obama and those who have empowered and enabled him through the years are as guilty as the genocidal bastards who were convicted at Nuremberg, and deserve the same penalties.

I don’t want to take credit at all for your great line.

Some short statements cut through all the carp and get right to the core of the issue.

You came up with it.

I think it’s a very powerful line. Excellent!

What would the Obama Administration consider sufficient reason? Proof that Kermit Gosnell once worked for Planned Parenthood? A public massacre on the network news with screaming babies slaughtered by Planned Parenthood workers wearing armbands with swastikas? The corpses of the aborted fetuses being set on fire and left to burn outdoors in a residential neighborhood? Every time I read about Planned Parenthood, I wonder if it can get any worse. Then I’m surprised that it does. Planned Parenthood has long ago forfeited any right to the benefit of the doubt. That any human being would still support them is beyond my comprehension.

Obama voted multiple times, as state senator, to allow babies who lived because of any unsuccessful abortion, to be allowed to die. So he has no problem with PP’s infanticide.

What would the Obama Administration consider sufficient reason?

If they stopped performing abortions he'd cut em off faster than you can say "allahu akbar".

Obama proposed legislation when he was in the Illinois House, to kill babies who survived the abortion procedure. It never came to a vote but it turns abortioners are doing that anyway.

So it’s not surprising he sees nothing wrong with killing babies and selling them for parts.
