If you read the article they were not given an address...
Correct. So, if I may ask, what would you do in such a situation?
Probably sit tight...set up a perimeter. Just listen. Try and have the caller transferred to my cell phone so I could talk directly to them to find a better description.. Or figure out if it is a bullsh:t call
“If these cops, wanna-be Combat Warriors, were held to the same standards and accountability as our Marines & Soldiers operating in ACTUAL COMBAT, this SWAT/Shoot-the-Dog nonsense would stop in a heartbeat.”
So what you are saying is that our enemies get better protections than do our citizens!
He was quite amusing.
This is one of the reasons I can’t get worked up about cops getting shot. I try, but by give a damn is busted.
“They entered the home through an unlocked rear door”
In Atlanta in that neighborhood? Highly doubtful. :-)
Me too. But, I’ve never been to a Police Academy.
But... That means cops cannot allow themselves to be used as cash eating predators by politicians. Nor can they administer extra judicial punishment. Nor can the see the Bill of Rights as something to be feared and gamed.
I could go on and on... No knock raids should be a distasteful footnotes in history books we teach in elementary school as the bad old days. Respect for private property and for citizens goes a long way to heal the problems we have.
They aren’t turning around. They are upping the ante. I’m sure there will be at least one bootlicker who will claim the homeowner was at fault somehow.
I miss old Wolffie. He sure was the perfect foil. I always wondered if that was what he really was.
Every time this happens they will wish they had a camera recording.
I don’t think they are either. But what is happening is the circle of reprisals I was warning is of.
No matter the situation, he always managed to be wrong or over the top wrong.
I wondered about him as well.
all the cops involved should answer to the same charges I would face if I entered a home, shot the fog and wounded the home owner and then shot two cops, killing one. This is a crime, plain and simple.
Would be interesting to know the ages of the officers involved. Nothing beats experience
They were operating on “the best intelligence available”:
(1) 911 operator passes along lousy info (”It was just the info I had. I was following procedure!”)
(2) Cops go to the wrong house (”It seemed like the house in the description - we were following procedure!”)
(3) Snoop around the house, and walk in through the unlocked door (”We were investigating a possible burglary in process - we were following procedure!”
(4) Dog barks, nervous cop unloads - blasting dog, homeowner and other cop (”He was afraid for his life - and so was following procedure!”
Police “intelligence” = collective stupidity.
fog? I’m sure I meant dog
Shot the dog and an unarmed man, who aledgedly lived there?
Great job, Club McFly
Heard they're moving out of Atlanta and changing their name to 'Denali'.
