A private citizen can sell a gun to another private citizen at a gun show, just like the private citizen could sell a gun to another private citizen from their home.
Most of the media doesn’t understand this and think guns sold at gun shows require no background check which is why they scream about the gun show loophole.

I think you are being way too kind to members of the media by implying that they misunderstand but are otherwise honest in portraying an issue.
It is my opinion that most of them are purposely trying to obfuscate the issue in order to gain public approval for their viewpoint.
