Once that technology becomes viable...
Key words. Why it MIGHT be a better solution, someday.
We were on Oahu visiting our daughter in June and, thank God, didn’t see any. We are going to visit my uncle in Idaho in a couple weeks and have to drive past an ugly wind “farm” east of Boise. I hate those things...a huge scam, indeed, all driven be government that “knows best.”

I am betting that the democrats are against plugging into the heat from the volcanoes as there are sacred or something too.

But not all are in favor, particularly after a blowout of toxic gas in 2013 in Puna.
The worst geothermal incident occurred in 1991, when a pressure pipe ruptured and vented 2,200 pounds of H2S into surrounding neighborhoods. At least 75 Puna residents were evacuated from their homes for several days.
On an archipelago of islands. Where it rains all the time. Sure, great idea.
Morons.
Sacred volcano against geothermal.
