My theory on this is that many who are leaning towards Trump are parking their votes with Carson for the time being. That way, they are still on record as supporting a non politician but don't have to say they are for Trump either.

It will be interesting to see where that Carson vote eventually goes. I don't think they are going to Jebbie or any other establishment candidate.
