Germany’s top official dealing with refugees said on Monday that there was “no upper limit” to Germany’s capacity for taking in people in need of asylum.
The comments from Manfred Schmidt, head of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) are certain to provoke anger in some quarters of the political spectrum.
Schmidt told Der Spiegel he was “convinced” that Germany and its citizens were prepared for the task that is entailed by taking so many people into the country. …

That’s not at all what individual Germans are saying. One elderly man, the father of a friend, was only half joking when he said, ‘I wonder if we’ll be forced to house these immigrants the way we were after WW2.’ She, my friend, said, “I’m very afraid for my country.”
Yet, if I as a normal American wanted to immigrate and live there for a few years, there would be some very big hurdles.

Germans rose up en mass to get rid of the Berlin Wall and they will do this again to toss Merkel and her cronies out over this. Then, things will get hairy as they’ll round up these “refugees” and toss them out. In Europe when they react it’s really not what you would call a moderate reaction and when that pendulum swings it won’t be pretty.
