If I were he, I’d be more concerned the CIA was plotting his demise. Sniff.

Daniel the blogger who I read from Venezuela says that up to now Columbian President Santos, who has moved to the left over the years, along with Obama are essentially appeasing the Venezuelan regime.

Maduro has a lot of room to make noise and intimidate Columbia. Columbians have already been roughed up and kicked out of Venezuela with a whimper in return.

Maduro would have to go pretty far to get a response from Santos and Columbia, much less Obama.

Every dictator needs a close enemy. Hitler had the Jews, Stalin the Kulaks and now Chavez/Maduro selects the Columbians since using the Obama USofA isn't really working that well. The whole country of Venezuela resembles a reclamation shop and needs new management.

For Historians, Columbia and Venezuela were originally united under Simón Bolívar in the post-Spanish country of Gran Columbia. If Venezuela gets as stupid as Maduro talks, the similar flags might be reunited under Columbia once again.

Columbia

Venezuela

The pattern of Socialism is oh so predictable. First, destroy your own country’s economic system. Second, demonize the “rich” and other hated groups in your own country until you destroy them. Then, once you have completely destroyed everything productive in your own country, try to shift the blame to foreign enemies.

Death by mango possibly? Seems he's been hit in the head already with one and gave a lady free housing for doing it.

Venezuela is going to go down the tubes with a lot of the other oil producing companies. Aside from the Saudis, no one expected prices this low.

If anyone in Columbia wants to assassinate Maduro, they are gonna have to get in line behind a million or so Venezuelans.

Of course, Maduro needs a foreign conflict to deflect from his abject failure to supply even the most basic necessities to his own country.

It really takes monumental mis management, stupidity and corruption to destroy the economy of a country sitting on 1/3 of the worlds proven oil reserves, but Maduro has accomplished the seemingly impossible.

What do Zimbabwe, South Africa and Venezuela all have in common.

Jimmy Carter sanctimoniously interfering in their internal affairs to help a marxist dictatorship take power and exercise the Marxist's trade marked “One Man, One Vote, One Time ‘ theory of oppression.

This aricle needs a bit of clarification. There has alwasy been an open border policy between the two countries. Almost like going across the street as I understand it.

Now Maduro is leading the charge to destroy Colombia...which is booming beyond belief.

Im currently in Bogota and will return home this week. Ill give a full honest report here later.

More details:

http://www.dw.com/en/border-closures-spark-crisis-between-colombia-and-venezuela/a-18681714

President Juan Manuel Santos said Saturday he wanted to check that fellow Colombians were getting the “services they need” as he toured Cucuta, a city of 700,000 dependent on trade with neighboring Venezuela.

Santos was shown Colombians queuing for hours to get gasoline, while Mayor Donamaris Ramirez said most locals previously bought smuggled cut-rate fuel from oil-rich Venezuela, where supplies are subsidized.

Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro closed border posts on August 19 after three Venezuelan soldiers were shot and wounded by two assailants on a motorcycle.

More than 1,000 Colombians have since been deported from Venezuela and others living in shanty towns say they fear that mass expulsions.

Maduro has already ordered the deployment of 3,000 troops to trace Colombian paramilitaries, whom he blamed for last week’s shooting.
