NORFOLK

A 15-year-old boy was shot Sunday night because, according to police, he tried to stick up a pizza delivery driver who had a gun.

The 15-year-old pulled a gun on a Chanello's pizza delivery driver around 9:30 at Galt and Barre streets, but the driver had a gun and shot him, Norfolk police said in a news release.

Paramedics took him to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, police said. At first, police said he might die from the gunshot wound, but now think he’ll survive. He’s still at Sentara under guard.

Police charged the teenager with robbery and using a firearm to commit a felony.

For awhile I carried a mixed load too. First was a Mag safe, then a 135g Corbor, next a 180g Federal HST.

OK, I can buy that reasoning. It does make some sense.

My Dad bought a 1/2 case of the DRT for his carry piece, and we did some ballistics gel testing. I was not impressed with the penetration of the light copper slivers.....

I’m kind of partial to the Critical Duty ammo. My wife carries it in her .38 snubby.

My Sig P938 doesn’t really like it... but it eats all the HST 147gr I can feed it without a hiccup.

I carry a Ruger LC9s and it`s 9mm Luger does have good penetration for an auto cartridge, but mainly it`s cheap enough to practice with, which won`t require one taking out personal loans for range and defensive ammo.
