Trump’s best bet is to counterattack hard and fast, while forming a powerful alliance at the same time.
The best bet is for him is to prepare with Tea Party groups to do elective “takedowns” of establishment candidates. And not just presidential candidates.
He could ask the Tea Party to give him a list of 50 congressmen and 10 senators they want ousted, then he could easily fund candidates to oppose them in the election. He could take these 60 candidates and give them national level quality election support against the insiders.
It could cover the gamut. Campaign training, quality strategy, coordinating between them to support each other.
He could also vet those candidates to eliminate frauds, fakes, establishment plants, and crackpots. Lots of practice for “ambush” journalism, trying to get them to destroy their campaigns by saying something stupid or repugnant. And background checks to make sure none of them are perverts, fascists, socialists, mentally ill, or otherwise walking disasters.
A good rule of thumb is that if the enemy is planning an attack, you set up a devastating counterattack that will rattle them so hard their scheme collapses.
Some generals would do that. And don't forget, Trump did go to military school at an impressionable age. I think much of his deal making technique came from his military school training.
That said, Trump usually uses simple plans...and that plan would be complicated.
The problem the opposing team has is that Jeb just isn't that smart and his backers (the deep pocketed PAC's aren't politicians either...they are lobbyists). Trump has already upended their game also.
Trump is a master strategist with many years experience.
He will close this deal.
