Out of the poll of 1,563 registered voters conducted Aug. 20-25, a full 71 percent said they are dissatisfied with how matters are in the country, and 41 percent said they are "very dissatisfied," reports Politico.
Only two percent of the voters said they are "very satisfied, and 26 percent said they are "somewhat satisfied."
The poll, which carried a margin of error of 2.5 percentage points also showed:
27 percent are "angry," compared with 49 percent who expressed dissatisfaction, but not anger.
21 percent said they were satisfied with the government but not enthusiastic.
2 percent trusted the government "almost all the time," and 13 percent said they trusted their leaders in Washington "most of the time."
51 percent said they sometimes trust the government, while 34 percent said they "hardly ever" do.
Congressional Republicans drew a 12 percent job approval rating, compared with 81 percent disapproval and 31 percent approve of the party as a whole.
27 percent said they approved of the job Democrats in Congress are doing, compared with 66 percent who disapproved. The party overall drew
40 percent approval and 50 percent disapproval.

Meaningless stats. “Angry” could mean people think the government has gone too far left, or that it hasn’t gone far enough.
Wow! 47% of the populace are layabouts and gimmedats; and even 6% of THEN are unhappy.
Uhhh. No. we were unhappy 12 years ago! Now we’re raging mad and we’re going to do something about it!
This is impossible because Americans got the President and Congress they wanted.
Look on the bright side, 80++ million illegal alien criminal invaders are very happy.
Okay I get it gov’t statistics have the number much lower, but my number is based casual observation, sometimes it is prudent to believe what you see.
Regardless of all the excuses, if the lesser of the two evils was really thought about, Romney would have been elected. Those that just stayed home and not voted have been a huge part in destroying America. Same will happen with Trump. Many Americans just don’t give a shi!. Nothing is perfect but stupid seem to be the American voters way.
I’m NOT angry I’m disgusted with the sleaze running our country... from the liar Clinton on down....
The cause of our demise is $$ in politics. Trump is the only solution on the horizon.
I sometimes trust the government. Whenever Obama promises to do something that is both evil and destructive, I trust him to keep his word. The Iran deal that gives them nukes and the money to fund their nuke program is a perfect example.
