Agreed.

No person who believes there’s a God in heaven could say, well, let’s shove abortion to the side for a while...and expect good results for the nation.

You cannot quote me saying you are ‘unChristian.’ I never said it.

You cannot quote ANY post of mine that indicates Trump-worship.

"I am guessing you have not traveled much in Europe.

Nudity is not obscene, violence is obscene."

Oh, now we should be more European, LOL.

Some of Melania Trump's nude pics were taken in bed with another woman. Should we be more lesbian, too?

Imagine this scenario. Trump becomes the nominee, and the average conservative voter who doesn't eat and breathe politics all day turns on the TV right before the election, and there are Melania Trump's pics, courtesy of the DNC who was holding them for just the right time.

How do you think that would play with grannies and folks like that?

You're talking logic CoA...a concept that is obviously foreign to that particular Trump supporter.

On the bright side, Trump is good at golf! And, as we have learned over the past 6 years a good golfer makes for a good president! :-P

Nudity does not bother rational people. Violence, beheading, rapes, murder are worse by orders of magnitude than nudity. Victorian era is long over. You must not be very young. Besides, those pictures of Melania are not of a nude body. To be classified as nudity, you would have to see everything.

Keep in mind Bill Clinton got re-elected after having sex in the White House with a young intern. And he was exposing himself to sub-ordinates such as Paula Jones. That was in 1996. Now it is 2015.

Cruz may not be a strong enough leader to be an effective POTUS.

What people need to realize is that Donald Trump is an October Surprise waiting to happen.

He has been involved in real estate and construction in NYC, Atlantic City and Las Vegas for decades, not to mention casino gaming (yeah, I know he got out of the casinos, but he was in them for a quarter century). This CANNOT be done at the level he's done it without dealing with some unscrupulous people. I'm not saying he's ever done anything illegal, I'm saying that there will be enough innuendo to destroy him.

Until fairly recently most FReepers dismissed Trump as a self-promoting egomaniac, now they think he's the second coming of Ronald Reagan.

CALIFORNIA. Ronald Reagan was twice the Republican governor of California. look at California now!

Really, you have documentation that California went liberal because of illegal immigrants voting? California was quite conservative a half a century ago, it's wasn't immigrants who changed that.

READ the Paper written by Trump with the assistance of Jeff Sessions who is the acknowledged expert on the subject, and you will understand the plan and its viability. You are directed to it now.

So, you're "directing" me to a paper that Trump hasn't actually released yet?

People with a lot more experience than Trump (i.e. Duncan Hunter) have been trying to fix the immigration problem for decades and gotten nowhere. Why should we believe that Trump is going to be able to fix it?

There are TWO very difficult issues to deal with, the first is closing the border and the second much more difficult is deportation. NEITHER of this can be accomplished in four or even eight years and both of them require a cooperative GOP Congress and a very accommodating Supreme Court. But then again, I guess Trump is just going to get people to "reach across the aisle" and agree on things, is that about right?

Mollypitcher1 you seem awfully bold for a newbie, telling people not to play games with you, etc. That's good, I find people like you highly entertaining to a point.

That kind of namby-pamby Christianity might suit some, but it isn't what the Bible teaches. Scripture instructs us to judge righteously.

It's impossible to be a functioning Christian if you shrink away from judging right and wrong.

My top candidates in order are Cruz and Trump. Cruz because I pretty much trust his positions, and Trump because I pretty much trust his desire to win and to stand by his deals.

What you write above is EXACTLY what would have made a NEW YORK businessman make the decisions he has made in the past. Is that self-serving? Sure it is. But it wasn't done with a mind toward polishing a political campaign resume. He still isn't much of a politician...if he's a politician at all.

But I cannot help comparing him to the lying GOP, who we know will NOT be honest with its base voters. We know they will say the right thing and immediately turn around and do the wrong thing. Yesterday, Mitch McConnell came out saying that he simply couldn't fight Planned Parenthood. All lies. He WON'T fight Planned Parenthood. He can, but he won't.

I wrote the following for a different current thread on FR:

Jeb Bush IS the poster child for the GOP-E. They have lied to, manipulated, and demeaned their own voters for decades now.

No matter what Bush might claim about ANY other candidate, he is on the side of the GOP that lies and does not follow through.

So, do we get fooled again by those who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk?

Cruz/Trump 2016

Entropy, as usual, you have to descend into absurdity when the truth about your messianic figure hits you in the face. You just have to lash out because your worship of Trump is based on pure emotionalism.

I'm not old nor am I a prude. But a woman who has posed nude---especially WITH ANOTHER WOMAN IN BED IN AN IMPLIED SEXUAL SITUATION---is not at all fit for the White House. Those pics are available on the internet.

You didn't answer my question to you. What is your opinion of a woman posing nude with another woman to imply lesbianism? Are you okay with that?

"Keep in mind Bill Clinton got re-elected after having sex in the White House with a young intern. And he was exposing himself to sub-ordinates such as Paula Jones. That was in 1996. Now it is 2015."

Okay, folks, you see it right here. Trump supporters have been skewing left for quite a while in their efforts to rationalize support of their guy. Now this one is DEFENDING BILL CLINTON'S AFFAIR WITH MONICA LEWINSKY.

That’s the thing. Trump is bound to have so much stuff buried in his past that the DNC will have a field day digging it all up.

You know, it’s interesting to pull Trump threads from just a couple of years ago. He was widely regarded as a shyster and a joke then. A few of the people who are head over heels for him today can be seen displaying a very different view on those old threads

I'm not disagreeing with you. What I'm saying is that it's going to be toxic when it's used as an October Surprise.

Donald Trump isn't a politician with "skeletons in his closet," he's a businessman who for decades has been able to say, "this is the way it's done and I got rich doing it." The problem comes in the way the media unveils this and it's timing.

Keep in mind that Trump has sued a great many people who questioned his net worth in the past. He REALLY LIKES putting his name on buildings. He is used to getting his way on everything. Is he really prepared to give all of this up? He won't be able to keep the buildings. His wealth will have to go in a blind trust and he will have to give a comprehensive disclosure of his finances. I'm still not convinced that Trump actually plans to stay in this.

No matter what Bush might claim about ANY other candidate, he is on the side of the GOP that lies and does not follow through.

The good news is that Bush is done.

Xzins, Trump is just another BS artist.

In July the man said many of his views are those of a Democrat. He was a REGISTERED Democrat only six years ago, and he flipped between parties several times before that.

There’s absolutely nothing in his past to make us think he would “walk the walk”, and quite a bit to indicate he would not.

What ever happened to all of that information on Obama’s BC he was digging up? Remember, Trump said he was going to release it any day, and it was a blockbuster, people would be shocked, etc., etc.?

I actually wonder if he didn’t pull that stunt to gauge whether he could sucker people into buying his BS prior to this run.

I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him.

“Cruz may not be a strong enough leader to be an effective POTUS.”

‘LOL!

Spoken like a person who knows absolutely nothing about Ted Cruz.’

The observation is based on facts. Yesterday Cruz said it was “foolish” to attack Trump and his supporters. He emphatically stated that he always praises both.

Now if Cruz were a strong leader, his most devoted followers would heed his words and guidance. Those who had been attacking Trump and his followers would change course, by way of showing that they respected Cruz and his judgement, so much so as to follow his lead.

Instead his supporters did the opposite. They continued to mock, belittle, deride, insult, lie about and ridicule Trump and his supporters.

If Cruz isn’t a strong enough leader to inspire even his most zealous followers to heed his words, he may not be a strong enough leader to be POTUS.
