When a police officer in Dayton, Ohio, handed John Felton a warning for a traffic signal violation, Felton asked whether was stopped for something besides having out-of-state plates, according to a video of the conversation posted on Facebook.

“Because you made direct eye contact with me and held onto it when I was passing you,” the officer replied in the video.

...

Felton grew up in Ohio but now lives in Michigan. His car has a Michigan license plate.

He told WKEF the officer followed his car about two miles and originally said he’d committed a minor traffic offense — not signaling more than 100 feet before making a turn.

...

Felton let the officer know he was recording the conversation and complained about being followed.

...

In the video Felton recorded, the officer gives Felton a warning. Felton then asks why he was stopped in the first place.

“I’m not doing nothing, because I have a Michigan plate, other than that why are you trailing me?” Felton said on the recording.

“You made direct eye contact with me and held onto it when I was passing you,” the officer said.

“What! I didn’t even see you,” Felton said.

“I am not going to argue about it anymore with you, sir,” the officer said. “I’ll just scan your license and give you a citation for the violation and you could take it to court.”

“OK, sir,” Felton says. He and the officer then drove away

LoL. Well, we used to make 'em like this...

</sarcasm>

To accomplish this little feat you use this snip of code:

</sarcasm>

Just copy this bit of code and paste it and you'll see it works very well

They couldn't have become psychologists/psychiatrists?

Had to be the pants pinching in bad ways.

Wonder if there is a way to weaponise them?

I live in Ohio too and I hate Kasich and seat belt laws.

My state {Tennessee} uses a traffic alert system taxpayers paid millions for which is supposed to alert drivers to traffic conditions ahead. Instead it is mainly used to remind us Click It Or Ticket. Never mind traffic five miles ahead is at a complete standstill and traffic doing 65 MPH plus is headed into it.

I think seat belts are a great invention and save countless lives. That said I do not believe wearing them should be the law for an adult. Just because something is a good idea doesn't mean it should be law. You can thank the Insurance Lobbyist for the seat belt laws. Profit Loss Protection for insurers done via legislation.

Remember this story when the next cop is murdered by some #blacklivesmatter idiots. Those blacklivesmatter thugs are the enemies of free society, nobody should murder cops, but the police are not our allies.

I had one chase me down with his head lights off on the Ohio turnpike one night. He saw me pass by him driving a corvette so he waited a minute and then turned his head lights off and chased me down. He got right up behind me and turned on his radar, his headlights, and his flashers at the same time (I know because I had a radar detector). He told me he pulled me over because I was driving a corvette and he assumed I would speed up when I got past him. But that was profiling or anything. lesson learned.

lol. not those guys.

My group of friends were smart guys. But all ended up in blue collar. Cops, fireman, liquor warehouse manager (makes a bundle) mechanic, sanitation. Two were accountants (the two Irish guys :)

Italian Americans (like me) on Staten Island do a lot of blue collar work and make very good money.

But all of my friends want their children to go to college.

Did you ever notice the Ohio Highway Patrol’s emblem? It’s a tire with wings.
Gosh is it stupid looking.

Well, I had a wonderful time growing up, but I know now that things weren’t perfect. I was thinking the other day about early TV. Every commercial was about cars (new models each year), laundry detergent, toothpaste, cigarettes and beer. So, it couldn’t have been perfect. ;-)

I was stopped by a VA trooper shortly after exiting speedy I-95 North for going 70 in a 55 mph zone. I told the trooper: “I guess I was on I-95 too long,” an acknowledgement that I was speeding. He reduced the citation to violation of a sign, sparing me $200 in fine. There are many good police officers but unfair to them that there are a few less good.
