When a police officer in Dayton, Ohio, handed John Felton a warning for a traffic signal violation, Felton asked whether was stopped for something besides having out-of-state plates, according to a video of the conversation posted on Facebook.
Because you made direct eye contact with me and held onto it when I was passing you, the officer replied in the video.

Felton grew up in Ohio but now lives in Michigan. His car has a Michigan license plate.
He told WKEF the officer followed his car about two miles and originally said hed committed a minor traffic offense not signaling more than 100 feet before making a turn.
...
Felton let the officer know he was recording the conversation and complained about being followed.
...
In the video Felton recorded, the officer gives Felton a warning. Felton then asks why he was stopped in the first place.
Im not doing nothing, because I have a Michigan plate, other than that why are you trailing me? Felton said on the recording.
You made direct eye contact with me and held onto it when I was passing you, the officer said.
What! I didnt even see you, Felton said.
I am not going to argue about it anymore with you, sir, the officer said. Ill just scan your license and give you a citation for the violation and you could take it to court.
OK, sir, Felton says. He and the officer then drove away

When I was young, children could stand on the front seat. And, that was common, I support the new rules.
0bama is at the top of the pole.
He is, codename: president pole dancer.
The following him two miles is typical for a traffic stop. The officer approaches the cars vehicle close enough to read the license plates and have them ran for wanted or stolen. It can take a couple minutes especially on out of state plates. Some cops do that check before initiating the traffic stop.
I stood on the front seat and the back seat while my mother and father smoked liked chimneys with the windows rolled up...and I’m still alive.
I think I’m too old. I think I’d rather just take opiates.
I have gotten out of many tickets that way. They have all the power, you have none. It is called survival.
Daily Mail has pics of the black agitator.
The Bee-Gees got on my nerves big time.
Seems like only yesterday.
Eventually, they invented the transistor radio and I could escape into my own world in the back seat with the radio slammed against my ear.
Huh?
I’ve met good ones and bad ones in NYC/NJ
the NJ cops are the worst!! Scream in your face, make insulting remarks.
The PA police were pretty cool.
Staten Island cops can be NASTY as heck.
But who do people think become cops?
My friends who became cops were the craziest of the bunch!!
What did I say that is confusing you?
Of course he has a right to be angry as well. The stop was BS.
H-> doesn't stop for US Govt security, why should I stop for the popos?
There is a disconnect between your posts and the subject matter of the thread.

“The Ohio State Highway Patrol is known for azzholes.”
Ohio State Highway Patrol is Azzholes because they have no police authority in the state of Ohio other than patrol of highways. The ultimate police authority in Ohio is the county Sheriff. A county sheriff has police jurisdiction through out the state...as do his deputies.
Kasich would like to change the law so that they have authority like they do in Arkansas (ala Clinton etc). Should never happen. Kasich does not need a state police able to impose Police State on the State of Ohio.
The County Sheriff has authority to tell the HP to piss off, and also has that authority regarding the Feds.
I agree though it hurts to say so. Years ago I was traveling with my young son on a freeway towards home. I was within the speed limit but not pushing the pedal. A cop rides my rear for a mile or so until he obviously got tired of it and sped up to pass me. He gave me an annoyed/dirty look and I glared back at him. Mistake, he pulls me over and gives me a ticket for reckless slow driving. I go to traffic court and the judge throws the case out. I was pleased but it still cost me a day of job time. As such, even though I like what cops do and are supposed to do I still have reservations about all cops, of any persuasion, as being good and fair persons.
