To: Cincinatus' Wife

I lived up in Alaska. I rememeber a story about a glacier near where I lived. The glacier. the glacier name was Leconte.after a biologist in 1887 . The family of the biologist decided to visit the glacier and was up set that the pronunciation that the locals used sounded nothing like there last name. they were in fact very angry about it and mentioned it often to as many people in town they could. finally one of the local native who knew the original name that it was called before it was renamed by us Europeans asked if he should be insulted that rather then it being called by its original native American Tlingit name Huti. they named it after a family to stupid to realize how insulting they were to those that lived near the glacier.

I personally would like to see the native American names but don’t like it being just at the whim of the president to change the name by decree.

.
We are a Christian nation, not a pagan nation, so we do not honor false gods.

YMMV
