All I am asking is that, before people start stampeding off a cliff, we ought to know what his policies are, force him to make promises which can be used to destroy him (a la Bush the Elder's no new taxes) if he is lying. I don't know the Donald personally. From the moment Ronaldus Maximus left the White House, we have witnessed an unrelieved parade of worthless second raters or worse (Slick Willie or Comrade Obozo) as POTUS. I'm looking for quality this time.
When you say Trump might stand up and call a spade a spade, I somehow do not imagine that to be n exercise in masculinity but rather an unacceptable verbal mugging of an impertinent reporter.
Again, Trump is no Patton.

Than you very much for that post...well said too!
He didn't do that.
He was trying to end the conversation...wherever/whatever.
Trump is not a lifelong Democrat. He doesn't even care about politics.
That's his appeal.
That said, he loves America. And whatever (wherever) solutions are needed to save this country are things he is interested in.
You don't know Trump...you are just spewing feces from your mouth. Wonder how it got there?
Well, for starters, Trump isn’t a lifelong Democrat (unlike Willard and his daddy, who were both left-wingers who used the GOP as a vehicle when the Democrats proved unviable to their swift rise to power). He’s gone back and forth (for a lot of people, they can relate to that). I can’t really call myself a “lifelong Republican”, since my disgust for the establishment scum erupted not long after my enfranchisement and I haven’t voted for them with determined regularity in a decade.
Personally, I love outsider, anti-establishment $hit-stirrers. The more the establishment hates them, the more I like them because I know they’re right.
As for Trump talking “dirty”, I guess it just depends on the person listening to them. I call it blunt honesty. Frankly, it’s MILD by comparison to my usual reactions to the daily horror stories I come across.
Also, the Megyn Kelly “menstrual” claims came entirely from the twisted and warped mind of the creepy and corpulent El Jebbe disciple/flunky, Erick Erickson. Trump never uttered anything about it at all. It was a depraved attempt by an establishment leftist hack to try to take down Trump and it blew up in his (and her) faces spectacularly.
Watching from the peanut gallery out in flyover country, Trump speaks directly to a lot of people that are sick to death of where our nation is at now, and that we’re willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he will decisively act on restoring our country to greatness again.
I see the people that truly despise him (in both parties and in the culture at large) are America’s enemies and complicit in the decades’ long decline, the issues he addresses are my issues (it does him no good to piss off the establishment and cultural elites of his class if he were just to get in the race and swiftly exit, as they aren’t likely to forget his words and actions), and the people he consults and surrounds himself with (as I mentioned, Sen. Jeff Sessions), which demonstrates a seriousness that he’s going to have the right people helping him to deal with the issues.
I think he has seen the light and truly wants to put us back on the right course. Perhaps I should not compare him to Patton at present... that really can only be reserved for after he becomes President and follows through on his pledges.
