I am south of Tacoma. We lost power twice, both times just for a second. It was windy, but the only damage was to a neighbor’s tree, which was torn in half.

What worried me was the wind they experienced on the EAST side of the mountains. Spokane experienced a haboob. The fires were NOT helped by the wind. They’re getting a little rain this morning.

“Spokane experienced a haboob”

wow - hadn’t heard that.
The fires are awful. I hope there’s enough rain to help put them out or at least slow them down.

I am also south of Tacoma (Puyallup/Graham) and we are SURROUNDED by cedars and maples. Gigantic maple in the back yard lost a couple good sized branches. Luckily the only damage was to the neighbors fence, which was easily repaired. Pretty dang scary being under that tree when it’s that windy! Never lost power tho.
