OAKLAND -- A 29-year-old woman about to leave her East Oakland home to go to a concert was shot to death Saturday night in an apparent attempted robbery, police said Sunday.
Five other people were wounded in shootings between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

“She and a friend had just gotten into a car outside her home in the 6700 block of Avenal Avenue about 8:56 p.m. Saturday to drive to a concert in San Francisco.
Officer Jason Andersen said that before they could leave, a car pulled up and a man got out and apparently tried to rob the two.
For some reason the robber started shooting into the car, hitting Anderson. The robber then fled in his vehicle without taking anything, Andersen said.”
Perhaps it wasn’t an attempted robbery at all.

Went back and read the article (I know, I know) and it does not identify the companion. The victim had a two year old child, which would indicate a previous romance.
If the companion was in fact male, and they were going out on a date, it could have been a jealousy induced murder.
Just speculatin' here.

Actually the more you can dissipate that myopic stupid idea that it is ONLY "Black Lives the Matter" the better off we ALL are.
We need to get rid of the BAD ACTORS, whoever they are, and whatever their race may be ASAP.
OTOH, it's a convenient way to dispose of any evidence out in the open, too.

Hey, I lived in Anaheim, CA. and had some "Island People" apparently what Samoans call themselves, living across the street and the men and boys spent damn every waking moment in the front yard using the car as a personal stereo and barbecuing, and yes at times as late as three A.M.. Really classy neighbors that I won't miss since I moved. I would like to say that I don't believe this of most Samoans but when the Father died a few years back they took over the whole street for a month and trashed it every night. Call me racist if you want, but that's the experience I have to go by.
Loud window rattling music knows no skin color. Can’t tell you how many times we and the neighbors have had to report a nearby resort. Last night between midnight and 1 AM, some white morons were out in a boat with their music waking up the whole house.
You’re right it has no skin color, but your issue is you live near a resort, I have been camping and run into the same behaviour from people regardless of color. I however lived in the middle of a residential community and though the Hispanics, Whites, whoever would have a loud party come 10 PM one and all dropped the volume and respected their neighbors, all except this group and yes I know that not all Samoans are like these were, but they set the bar. There my ranting and posting for the day is done, enjoy your Sunday!
