It’s also possible that Sen. Paul uttered those two setences a couple of minutes apart and the journalist mushed them up together.

But you’re right, saying Trump is “hostile to Hispanics” is unfair racist-baiting as far as I can tell.

Asked if he thought Trump would eventually flame out, the freshman Kentucky senator said, "We can only hope so."

So, maybe Trump isn't the only one who won't commit to supporting the nominee.
