Sheriff's deputies on Saturday arrested a 30-year-old man who will be charged with capital murder in connection with the shooting death of a deputy at a suburban Houston gas station, a killing the sheriff tied to anger against police.

Shannon Miles was picked up for questioning early on Saturday following the Friday night shooting, which was captured on surveillance video, Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman told reporters. He noted that Miles is black and has a history of prior arrests for trespassing and resisting arrest.

Earlier on Saturday, Hickman had linked the shooting of deputy Darren Goforth, who was white, to anti-police rhetoric across the country in the wake of deaths of unarmed black men at the hands of white officers. On announcing the charges against Miles later in the day, Hickman said the department assumed Goforth was "a target because he wore a uniform."

"We have not been able to extract any details regarding a motive at this point," Hickman added. "As far as we know, deputy Goforth had no previous contact with the suspect, and it appears to be clearly unprovoked."

Hickman said a handgun had been recovered and that a ballistics test matched it to bullets recovered from the scene.

200 people, 141 guns, 9 dead and 18 wounded. A slightly more complex crime scene than one guy shooting one police officer.

I have a few ‘discussions’ with OSHA officers, if a piece of equipment were to cause an injury; they would require a jurassic park fence around it.

If allowed to operate at all.

Dystopia surrounded by a jurassic park fence.
Large cities everywhere.

His black life stopped mattering the minute he pulled the trigger. Texas has the death penalty. Use it.

A public hanging and make it available on pay per view then take a large portion of the proceeds for the family so the kids can go to college if they want. It will never replace their father but it will help in a way the father no longer can.

The rest can go to pay back the costs of incarceration, trial, and execution.

Stay armed my FRiends and keep your head on a swivel.

DeRay is hardly a civil rights activist.

He’s a propagandist - agitator.

"He didn't 'do nuf fin'"

Interesting accent, there. She was certainly trying to use standard ebonics "dindu nuffin'".

Did Obama make any sort of statement? or did he golf today? If Obama had a cousin from his mother’s side, he’d look like Deputy Goforth.

The AMOUNT, VERY LARGE, of TWITTER ACCOUNTS praising this killer, inciting, laughing, lauding innocent “whites” being killed for just being “white” is frightening.

While Twitter cuts accounts of conservatives for being diverse of thought, they allow these twisted, evil, cruel twitter account holders to post clearly in violation of twitter rules. The DOJ? They’d rather follow “veterans” that stop the inciting, race baiting/murdering groups posting and organizing by social media. I am more than sick and saddened. DeRAY, MANUP you wimp and accept responsibility.

ONE SICK TWISTED TWIT with 48K followers.
Read this “mans” twitter and be sickened.

Yep. In a saner time, those who publically advocated for , suggested, called for, and encouraged the killing of police and White people would have been arrested. Now in Obama’s World that a majority of voters demanded, unless one is White, anything goes. But that is what a majority of voters said, via their votes, they wanted. Twice in succession. So they got it.

In Harris County they’ll go for the DP for this but if he’s executed it will take 15 to 20 years.

No doubt Sultan Hussein’s JustUs Dept. will be filing hate crime charges on Monday and the journalcrites will be eagerly reporting that action.

Yes, on the sheriff,
but as far as the deputy is concerned...

I and I.

Deray McKesson will legitimize anything, including the racial killing of whites. He and his cohorts only moved to hold a vigil for a little black girl in Ferguson murdered while doing her homework, only after the rest of the state shamed him into doing so.

The man’s mother — who didn’t want to show her face or give her name — told Eyewitness News her son didn’t commit any crime. She said, “My son is innocent. I was in the house with him, so when that happened, my son was home.

......average time in Texas to execute a convicted inmate is 10.87 years.

Still way too long but far better than the nearest other state.

And here comes the next phase - the attempt to disrupt the judicial process.
