Jeb Bush loses his top fundraisers after they leave campaign amid 'questions about the strength of his candidacy' with Donald Trump claiming they quit.

Three of Jeb Bush's top fundraisers abruptly left his campaign on Friday.

Consultants Kris Money, Trey McCarley, and Debbie Aleksander reportedly stepped down amid 'questions about the strength of [Bush's] candidacy'.

Some claim the three were let go by the campaign after not raising enough money, while Donald Trump said on Twitter the three 'quit'.

It was revealed earlier this week that Bush was trying to cut back on campaign spending and some employees' paychecks had been slashed.

Money, McCarley and Aleksander have yet to comment, but initially claimed they had 'voluntarily quit the campaign'.

The campaign has reportedly reached out to Meredith O’Rourke to fill the roles vacated by Money, McCarley and Aleksander.

I was just thinking of a side benefit of the Trump phenomenon. He knocked Bruce Jenner off the front pages. Now I had a dream about Bruce Jenner not too long ago. I dreamed that I was back in high school and that one of my classmates took Bruce Jenner to the prom - with Bruce dressed up like a girl. They sat at my table and the girl I was with started talking to Bruce and they were exchanging make-up tips. My classmate and I then got up and went to the parking lot where other boys were passing around a bottle of Jack Daniels. Lynyrd Skynyrd was playing. I don't think I ever went back into the prom. Then I woke up.

It’s too early to tell, but it appears we won’t have to worry about holding our noses and voting for Jeb as the lesser of two evils. I doubt that even I could have made a case for that with Jeb.
