No, it's not and you're again deliberately misunderstanding what's going on.

We have had 10 years where we either held the presidency and the House, or the House and Senate, with only two years where we held none of them. And no real conservative positions got advance. As I have said from the beginning, Walker plays "small ball." He achieved great things in a state that has a small population. Yes, he did so over rabid opposition. But when it came time for him to show how he could ramp up those achievements, why they meant something at a NATIONAL level, he can't. It may be unfair, but life's unfair and it's not our job to make his arguments for him.

I go back to the point I was trying (apparently unsuccessfully) to make. "I introduced a bill" or "My policies as governor" in normal times are acceptable lines to use when seeking the presidency. But we are in such a hole, you need much more of a leader. Not someone who "had policies" or who "introduced bills" but someone who WINS. Someone who is confident he will succeed and convinces everyone else he will succeed as well. That is a much different level of leadership than right now Walker displays.

Wrong.. I misunderstand nothing. Walker has done far more than introduce/suggest/promote policies.. he has successfully achieved them in a state that is even more leftist than the country at large. There’s been enough posting about those accomplishments.. in detail.. here on FR, so I don’t see the need to reiterate them here. The man has been governor of that state since 2011. No one governor is going to overcome that “small ball” charge. They lead but one of 50 states in the union. Any comparison to the federal level is a false one.

But that doesn’t matter anymore. I get it.. proven accomplishment in a hostile environment such as what Walker faced in WI isn’t a resume enhancer anymore when it comes to the GOP’s nominating process. They crave noise, and lots of it... and Trump provides the scratch to that itch.

No, it’s not amazing. What do you want to bet that Trump read every classic about the art of warfare before he began this? I’ll bet he started the day after he decided his first run wasn’t ready yet.

It is a JOY to watch someone whom I can honestly say I don’t have to worry about being blindsided, hoodwinked, bamboozled, threatened, blackmailed, etc., etc. This is a candidate that, if he fails, fails on his own terms. He gives me the impression that he is in this to win, that he will give it his all, and that if he does win GOOD things will happen. That’s all I need to know.

Don’t know, hiring that what’s-his-name right after Walker was forced to drop another GOP consultant certainly didn’t help.

Walker is a Chamber of Commerce amnesty guy. Dido everyone accept Trump, which is why Trump is winning.

Ir appears the long time citizens of the USA do not wish to be raped/murdered by the invading horde of illegals. Imagine that. Walker on the other hand does not see anything wrong with allowing the invaders to loot and plunder as long as his masters of the universe donors are cool with it.

Spin it how you will, but you and I both know there’s no truth to that. You also know Trump has been as all over the map on immigration as he has on virtually every other issue.

I’d say he turned to the GOPe just when it was necessary to turn away from them. He probably had no idea what a momentous decision it was. The role of a bridge between the GOPe and the voters was perfect for him and seemed tailor-made for the situation.

But it turns out the voters don’t have to settle for a bridge and won’t.

I already despise liberals, so what I would love to see more than anything if Trump wins the Presidency is the destruction of Karl Rove, George Will, the NRO, and any other RINO you can think of.

Carson’s a fantastic guy, and should be in the cabinet, but POTUS? He’s a Dr, for God’s sake’s, not a pool guy!

I don’t he was just a doctor. Brain surgeon that pulled off major break thru accomplishments in his field. organized teams of high expertise people to accomplish these tasks. not much different than what needs to be done in DC. — i mean the Brain surgery part.

Honestly, I think now that he wasn’t ready, or else maybe couldn’t invest the time to get ready for the national and international stage, what with having to run a state like Wisconsin.

This has been an especially fast moving primary that would be a challenge for anyone trying to pace Trump. His momentum has ridden a rocket. That has to be very hard to compete against.

“I’m not totally buying that Ben Carson is really at 18%.”

For some reason I don’t by that either. Maybe a fudging of the numbers?

23% in Iowa? Holy crap, those are fantastic numbers, just under a quarter of the vote, that means his chances of winning are about 95% right? WOW! I’ve never seen anything like it either! Unstoppable freight train!

This is why we see him on the road repeating himself. More and more are getting to hear him for the first time in these states and regions. It’s quite a wave, isn’t it?

Have you EVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS Pete?

I mean, he’s got over a fifth of the vote in Iowa, in late August!!!! WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW. With numbers like that it’s no wonder that dozens of people are proclaiming him “nigh unstoppable”. I mean could you imagine a guy with 23% several months before the election being defeated? That would be something!!!!!!!

Looks like it’s gonna be 4 L’s in a row for the Cubs.

It is a Bloomberg poll. The Des Moines Register and Bloomberg have no love loss for Trump.
