Sounds like he forgot how to be an ordinary citizen.

He has some deep seeded guilt issues.. My best guess. Served in Nam and Korea.

I definitely respect those who have served — and a four-star is a big deal. But a lot of government officials really think they can do anything at all: they’re just special.
A general is special. But maybe not quite as special as he may think.

Well while rank may have it`s privileges, he now carries the rank of citizen, so throw his arrogant, sorry ass in jail and make him stand trial for his crimes.
What a entitlement minded little pr!ck!

Yup. Very honorable service record, but that does not entitle him to act like this. Bad lapse in judgement, perhaps due to his age & related factors.

Sounds like he doesn’t like people playing games with him.
Perhaps he shouldn’t have reacted physically, but lacking a video of the event, perhaps he had good reason.

In May 1984, and until his retirement on June 30, 1987, Livsey served as Commander-in-Chief, United Nations Command/Commander-in-Chief Combined Forces Command/ Commander, United States Forces, Korea/Commanding General Eighth United States Army.I was in Korea from '85-'86 and he would come on the SFRTS Radio and spout off about how "My soldiers are ready - their tanks and guns are ready - do you hear me North Korea? We're ready so come on down!"
i would look at my calendar and mentally ask that they just stay the hell up there - there were only weapons on the base for 5%-10% of the personnel because "That's all that would be left after a first strike".
I can understand his frustration if there was an actual error with his card and then his check was refused - food was already in status where it couldn't be legally used and would have to be thrown out. Hard to believe he would actually try to steal such a thing.

That is when Livsey allegedly grabbed the driver's throat and facial hair, pushed him and pinned him against a refrigerator in his kitchen. During the assault, police said, two people in the home took the food, placed it on a counter and began eating it. He's in his 80's and managed to manhandle a delivery guy like described above?
Something stinks to high heaven about this news story..........
