My money's on #3 and has been since shortly after he announced.

Not that I want him to fail (I don't...) I just happen to think that he's said so many things, and so often contradicts himself that eventually those who support him will tire of defending what it is they think he's saying.

Trump doesn't have the discipline (IMO...) to know when to shut up. Case in point: Megyn Kelly @ Fox News. Why did he have to re-ignite that whole mess?

For the record: I like Trump. He speaks for so many people on immigration, the economy, government corruption and incompetence and more. I really just wish he'd develop a little discipline and know when to keep his mouth shut.

Because SHE re-ignited that whole mess on her first show when she came back from 'vacation', her entire program was oriented around Trump-bashing 'experts', she didn't have to say much of anything, just let her Trump-hating guests do the job for her.

US pretends to be vaguely conservative doesn’t have the integrity to acknowledge that Megyn Kelly is a bimbo who poses seductively in lingerie and gossips about men’s penises on radio.

Trump’s exchanges with the tramp built him up rather than her in the eyes of people disgusted by tabloid trash. Trump has a lot of legitimate negatives, but not deferring to Megyn isn’t and can never be one of them.

My money is on 1,2 and 3 to a degree...but not #3 as the author describes it. It will be number 3 in light of number 1 - his mistakes related to his inner liberal reflexes will add up...already we have Planned Parenthood, Scottish and Canadian health care, Fannie and Freddie, Walker and goobermint unions, raising taxes, big gov pabulum on “womens health” and so on.

Mistakes seem to linger long after some of the excitement tires....

Kelly was the point of spear held by Fox and other jeb supporters. Precedent is important and fighting off an attack early is the best in the long run. Trump sent a signal that he would fight against an attack to the point of destroying himself. By doing so he wards off future attacks by bullies. This wasn’t just about Kelly. This was about positioning Trump and his future attackers.

First you write:

“...and so often contradicts himself that eventually those who support him will tire of defending what it is they think he’s saying.”

Then you write:

“For the record: I like Trump. He speaks for so many people on immigration, the economy, government corruption and incompetence and more.”

Aren’t you contradicting yourself?
