What kills me is that there are some middle-class schmucks in Tennessee somewhere who will not have a kid “diverse” or smart enough or good enough to play football at a college level to get a scholarship to that school and because mom and dad are paying taxes up the wazoo to pay the people like the subject of the article their six-figure salaries, mom+dad won’t be able to spring for it themselves. Yes, I know that TN has no income tax. Believe me, they get you instead in a hundred different ways.
It’s a pathetic situation all around.
To be honest they can save themselves a lot of money and avoid a lot of PC courses by going to the areas smaller colleges and universities. The education given will be as good or better minus things like mandatory Global Warming Lectures & book purchases from persons who wrote books but have no weather sciences degrees or even any courses in it. Yeah it happened.
The best part of UTK is their Audiology School & Clinic, the Engineering College, Veterinary School, etc. Those are decent. Stay away from the Liberal Arts which are the ones pushing this crap to start with. If the students in the other listed Majors and parents raised enough protest even as far as a boycott the Deans on The Hill would see their careers shortened and the Board of Regents as well.
