In a shift sure to impact American politics, a new study of the growing orthodox Jewish population shows that they are in virtual lockstep with the nation's conservative evangelical Christians, with 57 percent identifying with the Republican Party.
A new Pew Research Center survey published in the Jewish journal Forward found that orthodox Jews mirror evangelical Protestants and Catholics in their devotion to God, their politics and even how often they attend services.
"Orthodox Jews vote, believe, worship, act and raise their children more like white evangelical Protestants than like their fellow Jews," said the Forward.
"If the Orthodox grow as a share of U.S. Jews, they gradually could shift the profile of American Jews in several areas, including religious beliefs and practices, social and political views and demographic characteristics," the report added.
While currently just 10 percent of the overall Jewish population, Pew calculated that they are on an explosive population trend.
"The median age of adult Orthodox Jews is 40, compared with 52 among other Jewish adults; they are more likely to be married, they marry younger and have more children. And almost all those children are being raised Jewish, compared with 78 percent of other Jewish families," said the report...

Orthodox Jews have never been liberal in any significant number. If they even voted at all.
How is voting GOP coming to Jesus?
-Religious freedom? No
-Strong defense? No
-Low taxes (so we can pay our tithes to the mainly Jewish charities of our choice?) No
-School choice/vouchers (for my kid’s ultra-orthodox private school?) No
I think this is a non sequitur.
I love preachin’ and wrastlin’ with dogma as much as anyone but I really don’t buy the premise.
A substantial percentage of people in this country who identify as “Jewish” will tell you that they are,in fact,atheists.They see “Jewish” as an ethnic/cultural label rather than a religious one.That’s not the case with Orthodox Jews however.So,in keeping with the Judeo-Christian foundation of the country they,like *true* Christians (as opposed to phonies like Kennedy,Kerry and Pelosi) vote Republican.
Yo, Jan, Jews becoming more politically-conservative because that grouping of political positions most closely mirrors their faith does NOT equal Jews becoming Christian.
When are you going to realize that Orthodox Jews won’t give up their faith, EVER. G-d has a covenant (i.e. a holy contract) with the Jewish People to watch over them forever, and He does not back away from His promises. Thus, we Jews will be around forever - as Jews, not new Christians. A covenant with the Gentiles also evidently exists (though it does not appear in my Bible in the form you perceive it, but rather in form of the Noahide laws)...and like us, G-d is entitled to have more than one contract at the same time (of course, I’m being facetious - He is entitled to do anything He wishes, regardless of our wishes, etc.). Deal with it, just as Pastor John Hagee and many other Evangelicals (righteous Gentiles all) have. They understand that Jews should be good Jews, and Christians should be good Christians - and that we will all benefit both here and in Heaven as a result.

Yeah, well, Orthodox Jews have more kids and intermarry in far lower numbers than (religiously) Conservative and Reform Jews. It is simple mathematics to assert that Orthodox Jews will have a larger and larger influence over Jewish politics as time passes.

Orthodox Jews may be looking for a messaih, but it’s not Jesus Christ. They want a conquering figure who perfectly fits the Antichrist.
When Christ does return, he comes to gather his own and pour out his wrath. By this time mm the News will have accepted the Antichrist and taken the mark of the beast.

Have you ever considered that a man-made new testament was written purposely to twist the Jewish (Pharisee) teachings of Messiah INTO what NT calls Antichrist, after your guy failed to live up to every mutually-agreed-upon prophecy of what Messiah would accomplish?

I have an answer now to one of your challenges (the rest I will provide later, when I can give you better answers - written by people more knowledgeable than myself regarding the particular references to either Scripture or the Talmud):
Regarding #1, atoning for sins as related to the lack of (animal) sacrifice (because there is no Temple in Jerusalem)....

The simple answer is contrite prayer to G-d, repentence and doing works of charity, thus:
“Prayer, repentance, and charity avert the evil decree” (T.J. Ta’anit 2:1, 65b). This is based on the verse: “If My people, upon whom My name is called, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways; then will I hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin, and I will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).”
Additionally, there were times before Jesus lived when the Jews also had no Temple - would G-d leave them without a means of atonement? No, as always, G-d provides a way [Note that what appears below was all in 1 paragraph - a separated it to make it more readable]:

Unfortunately, you can't reason with these people on this subject. They're absolutely certain that the Hebrew Bible is actually (lehavdil!) "chrstian." Any move in line with it is therefore "coming closer to chrstianity," G-d forbid.
You can't argue with them on this because this position is 100% dogma lacking any and all external objective proof. Their ultimate ground belief is that there exists a specific 66-book opus (the Protestant bible) that is assumed from the get-go to be the ultimate authority. This book says there is a G-d and they believe in Him on its authority. If it said there wasn't they'd believe that too.
And I can assure you this isn't doubt acting brave. These people actually believe that the truth of the Protestant bible is the ultimate fact from which all other truth (including G-d) derives its legitimacy.
