There will be plenty of faux and loud opposition but it won’t extend to the vote. If Congress were to refuse the Sultan’s budget, at this point I believe he would proclaim it by Fiat, announcing that because Congress won’t do the Right Thing he has to do it. Congress will protest a little less loudly than in the first show but will let it pass while taking it to the Court where Roberts will Decide to give it all to the Sultan. Congress has no power beyond being an advisory council and the Court has been incorporated into the Executive.

It has never failed and they have never had the guts to actually turn down an out of control budget.
Obama is right....just pass it, you will anyway....you always have.
And the people call for Obama and almost all of Congress to resign without drama.
If he wants it, it’s a time-sensitive necessity.
If he doesn’t want it, it’s an “ideological demand” that is “holding the economy hostage”.

If we accept that Congress will pass the budget anyway, why not add just ONE important thing to that budget and then DARE Obama to veto the entire bill.
For example: Add a “notwithstanding” provision to the bill that authorizes the individual States to prosecute individual EPA administrators for environmental and economic damage caused by their negligence.
Will Obama veto his own budget to protect his head moron at the EPA from jail? Let’s see how he “spins” that....
That’s not a cave-in. Saying “cave in” implies they were resisting in the first place; this is what the pundits have been calling “Kabuki theater”.
