The DEFINITION of the word country is a set of borders on a map that can be defended by the people that live within them.
Currently, that border in the southern part of the US is 70 MILES NORTH OF THE LINE PRINTED ON THE PLACEMATS YOU FIND AT BETTER RURAL ROADSIDE DINERS in the area of Arizona.
I think a wall is appropriate. I think a minefield is a step too far.

It would be better if Mexico changed to become a 1st world nation where a wall would not be necessary.
Or a noise of a loudness, type, and frequency that is guaranteed to incapacitate. And that would be on the far outer boundary. The closer to the wall the wannabe illegals approach, the worse things they’ll encounter.

Removing the incentive for any to sneak in illegally and expedited deportation of any that succeed should be less expensive.
The drugs are not a Mexican problem,the drugs are a U.S. problem.Without U.S. customers and addicts there would be no drug smuggling. So either legalize and regulate drugs or execute any and all proven to be selling drugs.And severely prosecute any police who plant evidence of any kind.

He could sell advertising space on both sides of the wall, favoring colorful yet tasteful ads. Then use the profits to help maintain the wall.
I think if this takes off, there are going to be plenty of people out there to help us, cars, food, places to stay, heck maybe Trump may send out buses to help us out...who knows...

Smaller, smarter government is always the answer. E-verify isn't going to work as long as critical systems are coded or manufactured overseas, or by people who have loyalty to other countries.

Yes, excellent suggestions. They really are. Not only could our Border Patrol agents place these, but land owners could set them out in hopes of scaring the illegals so badly that they will flee and not come back. And the beauty of it is that when these illegal filth turn around and go back to their towns and villages, they'll tell others that the land, trails and pastures here are full of dangerous surprises. Any and all ideas should be tried to stop and prevent these illegals from sneaking in to rob, rape and/or murder our fellow citizens.

Yep, and the more ideas that are talked about all across the country might lead to a more secure border besides the walls. Ideas could be faxed to the Border Patrol, the Pentagon, the White House but do the calls and faxes after our islamic President is out of office.
