OK, This Trump Thing Isn’t Funny Anymore
THE DAILY BEAST ^ | 08.27.15 | Barrett Holmes Pitner

Posted on 08/27/2015 7:26:09 AM PDT by McGruff

As his poll numbers steadily keep him in a comfortable first place in the crowded GOP field, and he packs stadiums—receiving raucous applause in Alabama and along the Mexican border—his fiery and divisive rhetoric has taken on a new meaning. His positions have now become the focal point of the GOP field and all candidates must respond to Trump before they can proceed.

What he and his supporters say can no longer be considered a joke. During his rally in Mobile, Alabama screams of “white power” could be heard from the audience. And last week, two white ex-cons from Boston beat up a homeless Hispanic man, and upon their arrest they told the police, “Donald Trump was right, all these illegals need to be deported.”

Just like Romney? We were supposed to fall in line and vote for that liberal weather vane, excuse me, severe conservative. That was okay, right? Because Romney had the stamp of approval from the GOPe?

The pic below could be a prime Trump campaign poster.

Drive home to women "It doesn't matter how politically correct you are, how often you vote Democrat, how many rallies in support of all the right causes you go to. There WILL be somebody who decides he hates you. And Obama has given him the green light to hate you."

The Media think it isn’t “funny” when they can’t swing elections to their Marxist overlords.

Who’d have thought conservatives would abandon one half-baked choice (Dr. Carson) only to enthusiastically tout a flim-flam artist who says whatever he thinks people want to hear.

I remember when people seriously looked at a candidate’s actions to figure out if they could be trusted. Now it’s like “Hey, he says bad things about the people we hate, so let’s support him for President!!!”

Trump does show how mad the base is about everything. But he is a completely illogical choice for a group that purportedly believes in conservative principles and decries the crony capitalism and government control that has crippled our economy and sucked our liberty dry.

Yes, Barrett it's a white power movement. You figured it out.

Keep telling yourself that. And don't forget to tell the American people. They're going to love you. And you'll surely win the election.

Right now we believe in just trying to survive. The Permanent Political Class has thrown our borders wide open and rolled out the welcome mat. A country without borders isn’t even a country. Not to mention the incalculable toll taken as the invaders rape, rob, murder, child molest, grift and drain the economy dry. We’re already far along in our death spiral. Trump articulated this out of the gate and proposes to start by building a wall.

What is your candidate’s most articulate summation of our lost sovereignty, and his proposal to bring us back from the brink?

An excellent post.

The whole Trump campaign has the same bad smell that Jesse Ventura’s candidacy for Governor did back in 1998.

I was there. I remember it well. It solidified Minnesota’s ranks as a tstate full of rubes.

Donald Trump is Jesse Ventura on a national scale - lots of posturing, lots of hot air and very little substance.

“We had nothing to lose by liking Trump”

Other than losing the Presidency in 2016, you’re right. You really had nothing to lose.

So it is your belief that if Trump not only runs on building the wall, but WINS on the basis of that issue/promise, he will waste no time breaking his promise?

Why? Because he doesn’t like to build things? [Actually he lloves to build things; he’s the only candidate with this in his resume.]

Because as POTUS, he’ll want to be despised and hated by the very people who put him in the WH? [This runs counter to his MO; he prefers the strong backing of his supporters.]

Because, like Obama, he hates the US,and WANTS a never-ending flow of criminals, rapists, murderers, child molesters, etc., to make the country into a third world hellhole? [In fact he is passionately patriotic, and loves the USA.]

“...but WINS on the basis of that issue/promise,”

As much as I’d like him to win on that issue (and I support the wall), he won’t.

And yes, given the many changes he’s espoused in various policies over the years, I truly couldn’t put it past him that he’ll let this one go.

The wall is an issue for Trump to play. He know it sounds good, it looks good, etc. It’s nothign more than a marjeting tool so that Donald Trump can talk about...DONALD TRUMP!

You know he’ll lose because in fact people LOVE being overrun with invaders who hate us. Americans love being second class citizens in our own country. We LOVE having the economy sucked dry by illegals who receive far more gov benefits than the average US citizen. We positively LOVE being raped and murdered, and having our children raped, and facing a never-ending flow of infectious diseases, and singlehandedly propping up the gov of Mexico while it and its illegal invaders bad mouth us.

I could go on. But the point is, Trump is bound to lose bc US citizens are gung ho to see their country reduced to a third world hellhole. Smart people like you know that only too well.

So he’ll renege bc as POTUS he will want to be hated, and bc he secretly enjoys watching the US being destroyed irrevocably.

You live in a fantasy world.

Save your oft-repeated sanctimoniousness for someone who cares. That someone, in case you haven’t guessed it, is not me.

I am well aware of how badly the wall is needed. I am in complete favor of it. But Trump could hardly give a whit about the wall. I don’t recall him speaking too much about it ‘til he decided to massage his ego by running for President.

Now, it’s his “big” issue for now - until of course, he finds a better hot button issue to latch on to.

"I think we should mine our entire border. It would stop the invaders!"

.......

We could consider trying to fool these dirt bag invaders and just state that the whole border is mined. Of course the filthbags in the MSM wouldn't go along with this false plan that the border is mined, but individual land owners, conservative organizations might.

I'll bet there are many land owners [who are having their cattle stolen or slaughtered for their meat]- who would definitely have these type signs designed, made up and placed along their land [falsely stating mines have been planted and are set to blow up] The average dirt bag illegal and coyote might think twice about walking across / might stop some of them. At least anything is better then what our islamic robe wearing obama and the rats are doing - which is nothing.

Or have the mines placed, but not with explosives but with - -exploding bags of dog chit might scare 'em off - - Whatever... anything to stop or turn back the mexican murderers and rapists [at least while our protective wall is being constructed, then finished]

Your entire argument is, Trump won’t do it.

That is about a third grade level argument, since you never even attempt to explain what would be in it for him politically to make himself into a hated and despised figure. Such details are beyond the simplicity at which your, ‘because I said so,’ intellect operates .

Fine. Whatever makes you feel godlike. But I asked you who WOULD build the wall. Where is your candidate’s statement on the issue?

Still waiting...

I remember being at a Tea Party Rally—Hundreds of US flags and Patriotic signs—Media only focuses on the one guy with a Confederate Flag. His picture was on the front page of the local RED Paper. I never saw the guy at any other meeting of the Tea Party—I think he was a plant.
