Thank you for referencing that article hcmama. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Jeb’s vote-winning idea for schools to pay students who don’t graduate in four years aside, please consider the following. Since Jeb has now flip-flopped his stance on education and agrees with Obama on that issue, both Jeb and Obama actually share Thomas Jefferson’s vision about “free” education, but with one major exception.

More specifically, since the states have never amended the Constitution to give the feds the specific power tax and spend for intrastate educational purposes, nether Obama or Jeb should be making statements concerning federal funding for such purposes without also talking about a new amendment to the Constitution for that purpose.

“The great mass of the articles on which impost is paid is foreign luxuries, purchased by those only who are rich enough to afford themselves the use of them. Their patriotism would certainly prefer its continuance and application to the great purposes of the public education, roads, rivers, canals, and such other objects of public improvement as it may be thought proper to add to the constitutional enumeration of federal powers [emphasis added].” —Thomas Jefferson: 6th Annual Message, 1806.

Yes and it would be closer to “free” if the FERAL Government was “not here to help” with our money.

Again, like you say violating our constitution.

That is why we need a real constitutional scholar, not that pissant in the White House that saw it under a piece of glass once.

One that can put a team together to strip the laws that violate the constitution furn the thru the House and Senate and deem them null and void.

Then, once again we will be the strongest republic.
