I think Trump is getting his feet under him. He is off the cuff and will continue to be that way, but this is a great example of his rapid learning curve. We all say things we regret, but traditional politicians don’t HONESTLY apologize (”I am sorry of someone took offense” instead of “I am sorry for what I said.”)
His little tete-a-tete with Whorehay was a great example of what you WON’T see from a politician. Rejecting the stupid “people are not illegal” in plain language was brilliant.
Teh Donald is a breath of fresh air in the stale political winds. Discount him at your peril.

Trump is a street talking straight shooter. That doesn’t mean he has a third grade level of anything. It means, what you see is what you get. He’s not a fake.
We wanted a guy that would fight back. We have one. Now we’re upset that he’s too good at it.
If I had to choose between that milk-toast Bush who couldn’t defend himself or Conservatism from the onslaught of attacks, or Trump, I’d pick Trump hands down.

Don’t know who nominee will be only that what people I know have been saying is they LOVE TRUMPS FIRE and how he tells it like it is without fear. People who are so sick of the political process in America that they haven’t voted for many yrs are excited by this guy.
My wife has a girl friend who is a long time Dem voter over 60 yrs old (NJ) who thinks Trump is a breath of fresh air. She has told my wife if he is nominated or “someone like him” is nominated she will vote Republican. She does not care for Hillary and thonks Sanders is no better than a Communist. Don’t know how she feels about Biden.
That’s an interesting poll. Unfortunately it is at odds with pretty much every poll, both state and national that I have seen. All of which show Trump losing, badly, to Clinton in a general election.

This makes me wonder why your poll stands out. Liberal bias on the part of ALL of the other polls? That’s the usual explanation on FR. But I am not buying it.
If our elected officials would have done what they said they were going to do, Trump would be irrelevant. He is just filling a void.
