We’re like two ships passing in the night. We’re just not connecting.

My understanding is that the GOPe pulled some dirty tricks, for want of a better description, to haul Romney’s butt across the finish line. I’m simply unaware of voters in large numbers believing that unless they voted for Romney there was a very real possibility that their country would cease to exist.

Comparing the tepid support Romney elicited from the overall base, and the seething hostility he aroused in the TEA party faction of the GOP, to Trump’s support is simply missing the point. The floodgates have been thrown wide open. The invading horde is streaming in. The country is on life support. Voters are choosing between teddy bears and soccer balls and a vow to build a wall. It is life or death. That is the driving force in this election.

Well isn’t that a desperation move like the last two? I see the connection clearly. The problem comes down to people looking for a white knight in a dive bar. They keep making the same mistakes leading to the next desperate hail Mary plea to save them from themselves. Then being mad at the people they themselves elected/supported for not being who their projection said they were.

In the mean time, the guy that actually ‘IS” what they claim to want is ignored. Now either these are some REALLY stupid conservatives or they aren’t actually the conservatives they claim to be. 30 years of Lucy and the football pretty well graph that one out.
