Suspect called 'difficult to work with'
Police in Moneta, Virginia, said a shooter fired at a WDBJ-TV media crew in the middle of their live shot at Bridgewater Plaza, killing the cameraman and correspondent and fleeing the scene.
Multiple outlets reported the suspect shot himself, but police haven’t yet confirmed.
The Associated Press, citing police, released the suspect’s name as Vester Lee Flanagan II, age 41, of Roanoke. But he went by another name while working as a reporter at that station, as well as ones in North Carolina and Texas: Brice Williams.
Officials with the ATF and FBI are looking at the suspect’s social media accounts, which have been suspended, to determine his mental state and background. Various sources say he was targeting his victims, however.
Killed were Alison Parker and Adam Ward. Parker, the on-camera journalist, was 24; Ward, the photographer, was 27. A third victim, who was being interviewed – Vicki Gardner, head of the Smith Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce – was shot in the back and is undergoing surgery at a nearby hospital, Fox News reported.

If they find he has ME connections or Democratic connections or is homosexual, forget any further stories on this shooting.
If, by any stretch of the imagination, he can be linked to something conservative and/or Christian and/or Tea Party and/or Trump supporter - look out. The msm will run with this story until Christmas.
And gun confiscation of the law abiding white man will commence for sure.

Unfortunately, yes, it is.
Just announced a few minutes ago he shot himself on a highway after a police chase. He also shot a video with cell phone they think, of the shooting from his own perspective, and apparently uploaded it to Internet during police chase. Those have been removed from Facebook and Twitter.
2 people killed, reporter and cameraman, woman they were interviewing injured and in hospital. (Chamber of Commerce member I think they said)
And of course a gun control nut crawled out of the woodwork before you could recite Mary Had A Little Lamb...asking hte governor about getting guns out of the hands of people who shouldn’t have them...the usual, background checks narrative and so forth.
Problem with that narrative is there is a good chance this guy probably could have easily passed a background check, no criminal record, no history of psychological problems, just a few run ins with former employers over attitude and racial issues. As far as I’ve heard so far, nothing that would be a red flag on a background check.
I’m listening right now, at least 8 shots, gun in one hand, cell phone in the other. Both victims engaged, but not to each other. Vicki Gardner, C of C representative, in hospital. NYPD has sent officers to any live news locations they know about in case of problems there.
That’s about all I know so far...
This is my theory, forgive me if anyone else has this theory already.
Black guy in love with white reporter, white reporter loves the other reporter at the station and shuns the black dude, black dude goes into rage with the mindset “If I can’t have her no one can”, he proceeds to shoot her and the camera man. Now in his mind “No one will have her”.

Question: The killer had been fired from his job. How did he know where these two would be doing alive shot?
dammit I should know better than to pass along what the news media says within the first 6 weeks of such an event...they’re now saying “not dead, critical condition”.

Someone posted a screen capture of the killer’s Twitter before it was taken down. He states that the cameraman “went to HR after working with me 1 time”. So there’s the beef with that victim. Also a comment about not understanding why “they hired her”...so my theory is pure revenge on the cameraman, and anger the woman kept her job? As for the woman being interviewed just wrong place/wrong time that day.
