Exactly so. If government would get the hell out of the way, and let us compete, our economy, and the global economy, would be much better off. Unfortunately, Trump is focused on the Chinese and their alleged currency manipulation instead of legitimate issues like lowering taxes, eliminating regulations, denying the unions, and telling the trial lawyers to get lost.
Too many FReepers think that slapping a tariff on something is going to do something other than raise prices. Trump's proposed solutions are based on emotions rather than economic reality. The author of this article is correct.
