Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz was seemingly unhappy with a question on immigration Tuesday night from Fox News host Megyn Kelly, telling her it was something hed expect to be asked from a liberal journalist.
Kelly asked the Texas senator the same question Donald Trump faced on the cable-news network Monday.
If you have a husband and a wife who are illegal immigrants, and they had two children here who are American citizens would you deport all of them? Would you deport the American citizen children? she asked.
Cruz replied that politicians should first tackle immigration by focusing on issues of bipartisan agreement, including stopping illegal immigration and improve and streamline legal immigration.
But that doesnt sound like an answer, an unsatisfied Kelly said.
Well, what Im doing Megyn is answering what I think Congress should do, Cruz quipped back, again listing steps he thinks Congress should take on immigration....

Answer is simple-—take tghe kids away from the parents. Deport the Parents and adoupt the kids out to an American Family. Raise them as Americans! Parents never get to see them again (or until the kids are 18 and can visit Mexico) That might end Anchor Babies Problem.
When she says “no, because they are Russian citizens” Cruz should just stare at her for a moment, let that sink in and reply “as the mother and father are in your example, Megyn”
Game. Over,
She so desperately wants to be the story. She so desperately wants to be in the show. She show desperately wants to lead a Yahoo News headline ‘Fox’s Kelly Grills Cruz on Immigration’.
So bored with this routine.
Deport the parents and give them the choice of taking their children with them or giving up ALL parental rights forever. Adopt the children out. If the children are very young then take them to be adopted out anonymously.
And she thinks we’ve all forgotten that.
Ouch. That’s gonna hurt. Megyn may have to say adios to FOX and sneak over to CNN like others before her.
How can you take away their parental rights? There's no law that says American children must be raised in the US.
You deport the parents and let them decide where their children should be raised. They could raise them in Mexico, or arrange for them to be raised by an American relative, for example.
In the mean time, they apply for US citizenship through normal channels.
what I don’t understand is WHY Cruz don’t simply read out what the Constitution said instead of saying some serious scholars think this and some serious scholars think that. Read it out loud and its pretty plain language what it says
Ted Cruz handled it with class as usual.
Wow, the picture at the linked site is one unhappy & miserable looking woman. Things have not been going Miss Megyn’s way.
Boycott her
Yes, the answer should have been, yes all should be deported because it's not possible for two citizens of another country to enter the US illegally and have children that are US citizens. If the parents are Mexicans those children are Mexican citizens. Deport them all together.
Why is it when two American citizens have a child in another country the child is an American Citizen but if two Mexican citizens have a child in the US the child is also an American citizen.
If you listen to these libtards anyone born anywhere to anybody is an American Citizen as long as they are sure to vote democrat.
1. Leave and take any minor children with them.
2. Leave and make verifiable arrangements to leave their Anchor Babies with a US citizen guardian that will provide for them until age 18.
3. Anchor Babies become wards of the state and can be emancipated after age 16 if they can prove they are self supporting.
Cruz should have said.
“Megyn...there you go again.”
Then proceeded to tell her that she is playing the “anchor baby gambit,” and that he has serious questions whether any such children should be, or really, can be considered to be US citizens.
That he does not believe that such children of obvious illegals are “subject to the jurisdiction,” of the US.
I’m not happy with what happened to Ted tonight, but you can’t blame a reporter for asking a question. You have to have the answer at hand.
This wasn’t a debate and a carefully crafted idiotic question.
It was the sort of question you have to expect.
I like Ted and I would urge him to bone up on some quick fire answers to questions like this.
Megyn has made it her goal to trash the most Conservative candidates. Perhaps FoxNews is no longer ready for prime time. As such our team should look for another venue.
Yup.
Big disappointment, that interview. BIG.
Only Trump has given the correct answer so far.
The other ones are going to continue to get beat up over that question.
They need to become men.
Thank God for Trump.
That was the obvious answer, and frankly I’m surprised Ted didn’t spill that out in short order.
The 14th isn’t a slam dunk for anchor babies. He should have made a better case for that.
I know he’s got it in him. Makes you wonder what was going on.
He should have just answered it.
If he had said what I posted above...he would have answered it.
And he would have done constitutionally, and in a way that makes clear that there should be misgivings with the way Kelly is phrasing her “gotcha” questions.
