I get that he needs to show a little bravado about a state thats elected him to the Senate three times but this is a weird boast to make when you realize that South Carolina is Trumps strongest state so far among the early big three. He leads by single digits in Iowa and appears to be opening a wide lead in New Hampshire although two polls taken there over the last month still have him south of 25 percent. In SC, though, its all clear sailing so far: Not only did he hit 30 percent in todays Monmouth poll, he topped 30 percent in the Gravis and Augusta Chronicle polls taken there over the past month. His closest competitor is Ben Carson, whos pulling half of Trumps total. Thats not supposed to happen in South Carolina. The early state thats supposed to be open to quirky mavericks with a strong centrist stripe is New Hampshire. The early state where unpredictable things can happen because its a caucus and there are relatively few participants is Iowa. South Carolinas supposed to be the winnower, where evangelicals and tea partiers trudge to the polls and select a staunch conservative to set on the path to the Republican nomination. As it is, Trump leads there by an average of nearly 20 points. And Lindsey Graham? In the last three polls there, hes notched five, seven, and four points, respectively. Ted Cruz, the great conservative hope whos supposedly going to be a force in the southern primaries, tallied three, four, and five points in those same polls. There is in fact some brain-beating happening in that state right now involving Lindsey Graham, but not the type hes imagining.
And Trump knows it.
He is shallow. He is ill prepared to be commander in chief, Graham said. He doesnt know what hes talking about or how our laws work. He says the worst things possible about immigrants and women. And hes a complete idiot when it comes to Mideast policy.
I think over time, common sense will prevail, Graham said on CNN. [Trumps] a showman. Hes really good at that.
Maybe Grahams hinting that he plans to play kingmaker in SC by endorsing one of his competitors at the last second to tip the race? Imagine if it ends up being neck and neck there between Trump and Ted Wacko Bird Cruz, one of his pal McCains enemies in the Senate, and Grahamnesty has to choose.
The most interesting thing about this clip, actually, is how willing Graham is to dismiss Trump fans in their entirety as Birther-style cranks. Thats a
curious talking point for establishment Republicans who are going to need most of Trumps 30 percent to turn out next fall for whoever ends up being the GOP nominee. Maybe weve already reached the point with Trumpmania where both sides realize the partys coalition is irretrievably broken and that theres no point in hiding their contempt for the other side anymore. If Trump fans want to hold what Graham says here against the wider GOP, oh well. Theyre Trump fans. They hate the party anyway, by definition.
I love this.
Probably meat, not brains.
I.....am....loving....every....damn....minute...of....this!
LOL.
I am sure Trump would beat Linda’s brains out if Linda had any brains.
Perhaps Trump could knock the bubbles out of Linda’s empty head space.
Wouldn’t it be more realistic for Linda to say, “I’ll scratch your eyes out”?
Trump isn’t your flip phone.
Lady Lindsey will slap him with his sequined purse.
The fun thing is going to be watching the others OVERREACT to Trump. He’s just being himself - love him or loath him - but everyone else is have to react and it’s fun to see the phoniness.
I'll have to say, I absolutely loved seeing this today - out at a restaurant at lunch that had CNN on one of the TVs and I saw that pop on the screen. Lindsey Graham is among the worst of the worst in the GOP.
I don't.
That said, if Trump's pot-banging can trounce Grahmnesty...
...at least there is that.
Grahamnesty deserves the insult, no matter the source.
There. I fixed it.
Coming from Linda who polls 0% nation wide and 4% in her home state. Bwahahahahahaha.
Lipstick Lindsey Graham said this while waving his purse in the air, didn’t he.
Hit him with your purse, Lind-cee
Yup - I'm savoring this like a fine whiskey. Most enjoyable.
I have to say the rats are not even in the same ballpark of VERY INTERESTING campaigns. I don’t think I’ve EVER seen a primary season like this. LOL!
Today I saw a Youtube of Trump singing Green Acres on an Emmy awards show. Pitchfork, overalls and all. He wasn’t all that bad.
LOL!
Including placing behind Senators from other states. LOL.
Lindsey is going to find himself in need of new panties. He just can’t believe that is smarmy effeminate woosieness isn’t more appealing to the “base” than a man who sticks up for what they believe in. This is delicious!
