N.C. GOP officials may try to keep Donald Trump out of the primary. They shouldn’t

In case you missed it, we said last month that Donald Trump wasn’t going to win the North Carolina primary.

We also said it two weeks ago.

We still feel that way. But we think it should be your call.

Politico reported last night that the North Carolina GOP is contemplating a new requirement that candidates pledge to support the Republican presidential nominee, no matter who it is, and not run for a third-party bid. If a candidate doesn’t make the pledge, he or she won’t be on the Republican primary ballot on March 1.

It’s a rule that would be aimed directly at Trump, who declined to make that pledge at a GOP debate earlier this month.

Politico reports that both North Carolina and Virginia GOP officials are considering the mandate. N.C. officials have talked with attorneys about how best to implement it.

Party officials are thinking campaign strategy here, but the call on who North Carolinians want to represent the Republican party should come from North Carolinians.

Politico says that party officials hope to compel Trump to make the pledge if wants North Carolina’s electoral votes. We’re guessing Trump might not play along here, and that blowback from Trump supporters and others will nudge N.C. officials to reconsider.

They should. It’s a bad idea for their party’s voters, no matter which candidate they support.

The GOP making rules to scroo the people. We have a GOP run House and Senate. The debt has doubled, healthcare is unaffordable with high deductions, taxes went up, they allowed Obama to make a treaty, and they fear ONE MAN who wants to make America Great again.

I wonder if they allow write-in votes. Wouldn’t it be fun if Trump won without even being on the ballot?

I would not do that if I were the GOP (E) in North Carolina & Virginia. The rank & file Republican voters will go wild in both those states and will abandon the GOP in massive numbers!!! Who thinks up these nutty ideas....why of course.......the weak sister GOP losers like John McCain, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, etc.!!!

The Donald should create a contract affirming he will not run as an Independent IF the NRC and the other eligible candidates will affirm that they will support him once he is nominated.

Printed Signature blocks for Reince Priebus, Chairman, RNC
and each remaining eligible Republican Republican Candidate.

Which of them would sign?

If the Republican parties of these states do indeed deny Trump a place on the ballet and he starts a third party I think it is time for the Republican party to die. Conservatives have had enough of RINO’S ‘lording it over them’. Conservatives put Rinos in office, they have the votes for a third party. Trump has the draw to make the break from the Republican party possible. What’s to loose?

NC and VA GOP officials must not realize that There will be many other candidates on the primary ballot besides Presidental. I can easily
envision voters “Cantoring” some famous house members, etc as payback
for denying Trump his name on the ballot.

This bad idea would backfire big time.

The Donald should turn the tables on the RNC & other Republican candidates and make them pledge to support him when he wins the nomination.

Several years ago I was a delegate to the NC Republican Convention. When the individual, who would be considered the whip, tried to tell me how to vote, I re-registered as Unaffiliated as soon as I got home.

The GOP is so afraid that an outsider will get in, and cut out their corrupt cronies. They are on their way to becoming irrelevant.

Only if they want to commit political suicide.

MESSAGE TO NC GOP:

Proceed if you want to retire without benefits.

Otherwise, jump on the Trump Bandwagon and beg for mercy.

Go ahead, make my day.

It will be the beginning of the end of the GOP. Trump will take his money and team up with Ben Carson and run independently. They will either win or give Biden-Warren a damned good run for their money. Yeb will finish twenty points behind in third. The Republican Party will become the Whig Party.

GOP: Kiss the Ring!!!

Trump: Kiss my Ass

Voters: Go Trump!!

I do so hope that the RNC and the GOP commit suicide this election year. The Uniparty system needs to be destroyed.
