Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly returned Monday night to host The Kelly File following a 10-day vacation, but her extended R & R seemed to have no relaxing effect on her loudest critic: Donald Trump.
In a series of late-night tweets, Trump accused Kelly of being “off her game,” and suggested she “must have had a terrible vacation” because she was “afraid to confront” her guest, Dr. Cornel West, on the subject of immigration.
Trump followed up his tweets with a couple of retweets from supporters who called Kelly a “bimbo” and her show “a waste of an hour on Fox.”
“The bimbo back [sic] in town,” said one tweet, which Trump reposted into his own timeline. “I hope not for long."
The Republican front-runner’s infamous feud with Kelly -- sparked in the aftermath of the first GOP debate, which Kelly co-moderated — reached a crescendo shortly before her temporary leave of absence, when Trump made a comment appearing to reference menstruation as a reason for a line of questioning he believed was unfair.
Trump went on to suggest several times that Kelly’s vacation was ordered by higher-ups at the news station as a result of the fallout from their post-debate friction.
Fox News pushed back on those claims, saying the time off was scheduled months in advance.
Unfazed, Trump repeated his allegation tonight on Twitter.
"I liked The Kelly File much better without @megynkelly,” the businessman tweeted. "Perhaps she could take another eleven day unscheduled vacation!"
Great catch! Definitely send it to Trump.
MeGYN didn’t learn anything from her mandatory *vacation*.....like, she’s not entitled to her own set of facts.

Yep. Another poster mentioned, MeGYN had blood coming out of her eyes when she was talking about Trump’s immigration plan - with false numbers! - on her show tonight.

I just sent it to Trump on twitter. This woman has a lot of nerve trying to b.s. Fox viewers. I intend to write down all her sources and check them out.

He addressed a total of 20,000 people on his recent bus tour. He just had almost 3,000 at a Rally in Iowa; a state where he only need 29,000 caucus votes to win. He’s letting Trump get the media attention and build his straw house and Ted is building a solid base one brick at a time.
So, which is it for you friend; drugs or alcohol?
I watch with interest the machinations of Trump and others, while giving money to Cruz.
I find a little value in them all, but I want to Dance with Cruz.
It would seem that Maureen Dowd is smarter than Kelly because her column the other day wasn’t all that snarky about The Donald and she said that getting into a fight with DT would be like being tossed into a bag of badgers.
I’m thinking MK is in that bag of badgers now. Like it or not, she deserves it.
