To: Red in Blue PA

Years ago the city of Oakland passed a special Business Tax that stated that any business that sold even ONE gun or ONE round of ammunition had to pay taxes at a higher rate on EVERYTHING they sold. San Francisco did the same thing. It closed Siegle’s Guns in Oakland, and the San Francisco Gun Exchange, and every other firearms business in both cities. So, obviously, it generated no income for the either city.

Where was the NRA then?

Exactly! Funny the battles the4y pick and choose- I’ll bet lots of draconian gun laws have been passed all over this country without a peep from the NRA

I suspect that Californistan does not have the state level preclusion law that gives them leverage in Washington. If you have no tool, better to preserve your powder for a fight you can win.
