North Korea couldnt be crazy enough to actually start something with America or South Korea, could they? If so, they would be the ant under our magnifying glass, and would perish before they knew what hit them.
Donald Trump said the other day that Kim Jong-un is either mad or a genius, because whenever he makes a threat the U.S. is forced to respond in defense of other countries, and this move alone might just clarify one of those adjectives.
Apparently, dozens of the Norths subs have left their bases, and nobody can track their whereabouts.
Im leaning towards mad.

They’re looking for any of Hillary’s & Huma’s emails that the Chinese may have accidentally dropped from the side of one of their ships.
They sink so quickly these days.
Maybe the screen doors weren’t closed?
Realize that if we have them located, we would still claim not to know where they are.
If nothing else, the Norks know how to negotiate. They usually get what they want.
Obama, on the other-hand, is outclassed by even the NK Fat Boy.
The Flex Seal Spray Rubber suddenly didn’t work like on the commercial advertisement?!??
Actually the Flex Seal stuff is great.
Submarines that can’t stay under for long periods of time.
It doesn’t matter if we know where they are if we don’t do anything. Sinking the subs after they have launched all their missiles is like wetting down the ashes after your house burned down.
With the strong leadership that America is fortunate enough to have we worry about n-o-t-h-I-n-g.
Our army, now containing LGBT soldiers, will prove invincible in the field. Our ships will plow deep furrows in the Pacific Ocean. We probably need to keep an eye on Pearl Harbor though. Wouldn’t want anything like 12/7/1941 to recur.
If LA or NYC is nuked our president will wait and see what happens next. Then he’ll draw a line in the sane. And then he’ll leave the White Hut for a round or two of golf.
Of course, it's all saber rattling, the end game is we buy them off again.
Would it be a coincidence if they all ran into an artificial reef?
Coincident? Didn’t I just read a few days ago that Obama was agreeing to North Korean’s demand not provoke them with military exercises?
I’m not sure how much I believe the “can’t be located” claim. The vast majority of NK’s sub fleet is comprised of obsolete Russian designs from the 60s that are (by diesel standards) very noisy. But then again, we’ve been cutting our ASW budget for years, and Pyongyang is making these moves at a time when the U.S. does not have a carrier in the region, so most of the battle group’s organic ASW assets aren’t available, either.
One important note: if NK was preparing for large-scale SOF attack, there would be preparations and deployments among their AN-2 Colt fleet and the air cushion craft based on the eastern and western coasts. Pyongyang relies far more on those platforms for SOF insertion than the subs. So, far, I haven’t heard any reports of unusual activity among those assets. In fact, it’s a fair bet that most of the AN-2 crews are out in the fields, growing food, to prevent starvation this winter. The subs sortied because the DPRK Navy does more of its training in the spring and summer, when sea conditions are move favorable.
1 dozen modern diesel subs on a feeding frenzy would raise havoc.
Maybe because they're under water?
How about the South Korean military? Don't you think they have ASW assets? And in the region, too?
None of the subs have missiles.
The North Korean subs are not exactly what one would call "modern". South Korea, on the other hand, has over a dozen subs of her own, all German designed Type 209 and Type 214. So you may get your feeding frenzy after all.
