I’d put Walker in the top 3 and lower Cruz, and push Trump to 6th.
1) Walker has weathered the worst that the Dems have to offer and beat them on their own turf. The author is wrong to think it’ll be different on the national stage when it was national level Dems and libs attacking him in the first palce.
2) I love Cruz, and he will definitely motivate the base. That said I don’t see a whole lot of crossover votes for him. Love him or hate him he can be very polarizing.
3) Trump has the highest negatives of anyone in the race. There are a significant number of conservatives who wouldn’t vote for him period, and his insulting schtick could chase away a lot of undecideds/moderates/whoever votes.
Go test it. Stream one of Trump's speeches onto a TV at your local bar or coffee shop, etc.
Unfiltered, he's grabbed people's attention, kept it, and even turned a few liberals to his cause. I've tried everywhere from a local craft brewery to Dennys to a Motel 6.
I’m not sure Walker would carry his home state. His approval rating is currently 39%.
Walker can’t even figure out his position on birthright citizenship. He has taken positions in less than a week. He is nothing more than a puppet for his GOPe/Kstreet masters. That kind of waffling is a deal breaker.
