Republican Donald Trump is pulling away from the pack in the race for the party's U.S. presidential nomination, widening his lead over his closest rivals in the past week, a Reuters/Ipsos poll showed on Friday.

The "progressive Southerner" was the subject of a neighborly jaw session fueled by bourbon. The neighbor speculated that those "SProgs" have Carpetbagger roots, either direct or through marriage. Only conclusions to which we arrived were, that it was possible, we needed better bourbon, and more of it.

Jeb has two sources of support:
1) Big money crony interests (but low numbers of votes)
2) Democrats working to elect the softest target for the November race.
#2 may be in trouble as Hillary stumbles and the possibility of contested Dem primaries increases.
Does the GOPe realize there are a lot of blacks, hispanics, asians, etc. who want to see the illegals deported? I think they do, but are beholden to the cheap labor lobby. Go Trump!

The trend is Trump +8 in a week.
Everyone knows Trumps is going to pull out and hand the race over to Hillary.;-)I thought he was going to give it to Cruz because Cruz is the most conservative candidate that's ever walked the earth...but not capable of winning on his own.
And if the Trump/Cruz (Or even the impossible Cruz/Trump) wet dream came true, who will the Cruz loving Trump haters vote for?
