what about the Waffle House in West Point Mississippi? With all the jokes about Rednecks in Waffle Houses, that’s one town you dont want to dine in.

Not every one thinks that “ redneck” is an insult. A top rated radio talk show guy, Michael Berry, has opened a nite spot in the Houston area he calls the Redneck Country Club. It appears to be very popular.

My husband is a real redneck, a blond fair skinned person of Scot Irish descent who has a sunburned neck., when he spends time out side. He is not insulted by the term at all.

Why Ma’am I am a redneck also, with west european all over me except that brief geneological experiment with Cherokee my great great grandfather had.Czech,Irish French and indian.
In Houston area,in the Woodlands, is one of our area’s best historical writers, Mr Hewitt Clarke. He lives out there and travels about ,in his 80s, he is a character that belongs in one of his books.
God Bless.....

When my husband who is Irish, English, French and possibly German heard his great aunt say there had been an Indian grandmother way way back, he was thrilled to Have Indian heritage!

Then his aunt said “ don’t worry, she was the white folks kind of Indian” .

As for me I am a Scot/ Brit as far back as you can go. I would love to have some Native American in my history.

I am going to ask my husband if he has read anything by Mr Clark.
