As a second-generation American of Slovak ancestry, lemme tell you about the Slovaks. We were beat to crap for centuries and it was the tough and smart ones who survived and procreated. My great grandfather was taken out back of his house by raiding Ukrainian cossacks and shot to death shortly after WWI. Before the cossacks it was the Mongols. In fact, most of my family has this slanty-eye thing going on. My 25-year-old daughter, who is Slovak, Polish and Irish, has been asked if she’s Asian. Anyway, Slovaks come from good, proud Catholic hardworking stock and I’m not surprised we are flipping the bird to the Muzzies. Right on!

I don’t think the Mongols attacked Slovakia. They went through Moravia on their way from Poland to Hungary. I think that any Asian genetic elements among Slovaks are probably from the Avars.

Christian hardworking stock. There are some Protestant Slovaks, as well. Mainly Lutherans, I believe. :-)
