Arizona State Senator Kelli Ward, challenging U.S. Senator Sen. John McCain, leads the five-term Washington insider for the first time in a new poll. Her lead stands at nine percent.
Ward was the choice of 45 percent of the registered Arizona voters polled, while McCain only garnered 36 percent. 1,271 of the more than 1,400 voters polled say they intend to vote in the 2016 primary election. Approximately one fifth remained undecided at this early stage of the race.
Independent polling company Gravis Marketing conducted the August 15 poll. It surveyed 844 Republican primary voters and 427 Democratic.
These new McCain versus Ward results vary significantly from May.
Public Policy Polling results then included 600 Arizona voters, 300 marked as Republican primary voters. In that early poll a Ward-McCain matchup gave Ward 31 percent and McCain 44 percent with 25 percent undecided.

Arizona has a tendency to repeatedly reelect sitting Senators well past their expiration date: Barry Goldwater and Carl Hayden, for example. If his opponent retains her lead and is determined by the GOP-E to be able to be absorbed into the Washington Borg, he is likely to be encouraged to retire. Maybe the new Interstate 11 will be named after him, or possibly a Navy vessel.

I have to agree, as should any real conservative. All else being equal, a man is the only reliable conservative bet for public office. I know this ticks off a lot of FReepers, but it's the truth.
If you don't think men and women are different in fundamental, substantial ways, then you need to reassess your credentials as a conservative, and go hang out in the Leftist camp.
He has started already. "He is a hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured". He will grind McCain to powder for calling his supporters crazies.
I do believe that I read somewhere about Trump mentioning some guy’s name to run against McLame. Wish I could remember more details but photographic memory ran out of film that day.
