Sure tootsie roll, I've been between jobs before too, BUT I cut spending to the bone between jobs. Cancelled all vacation plans and didn't eat out even at MacDonalds. Besides I believe I said that had nothing to do with the shooting.
That sketch was made by the same woman at the GBI that did a sketch for me when I was robbed at gunpoint two years ago.
She did the Eric Rudolph sketch back in 96. She’s been drawing for the GBI for 35 years or so. It was a very interesting couple of hours with her. She has been drawing TEENS for so many years now that many times she has identified perps from their father and grandfathers facial features.
When I first walked in she handed me stacks of photo books filled with years and years of mugshots. She told me to look through them slowly and try to find features that reminded me of the robber saying “that monsters Daddy is in their somewhere”.
I think I met the same woman to sketch my assailant years ago. Small world.
That along with a sign that says "no guns allowed" will surly protect someone.
Thanks for the first person anecdote......very interesting!

Well, few of us are as perfect as you...so you should be very proud. As for me (and I suspect most of our fellow FReepers), I’ll refrain from petty and judgmental comments directed at what appears to be a very decent family...particularly when we don’t really know that family’s whole “story”.
If only the family hadn’t been exercising “white privilege” by existing.
“The local private schools often cost more than 10,000 dollars PER YEAR for each student.”
This is one reason I keep harping at how absurd the government’s CPI figures are. If you are comparing cost of living between the fifties and now it is so far out it isn’t funny. Back then people who made sixty dollars a week could support a family and the cost of schooling was paid almost entirely by property taxes, a graduate of the public school system could find a job and make a living. Now it costs what people back then earned in three years to send one child to a private school which is MANDATORY if you want them educated and cannot home school them. Send them to public schools and if they can get into college they finish college unable to pass the eighth grade final exam from 1950. Yet they expect us to believe that it takes less than nine dollars now to equal one dollar in 1950. You have to be too young to know the truth to believe that one. In 1950 a cup of coffee was a nickel, a large candy bar was a nickel and the finest new Ford was a little over $1400. You could buy a hundred acre farm with a house and outbuildings in this area for three thousand or so. A new house that cost $15000. was a small mansion. A family man with four kids could buy ice cream cones for himself, his four kids and their mother for thirty cents. It would be closer to thirty dollars now.
After dark I don't open the door for anyone I don't know. IN the day I look out the window to see who it is. I also take other precautions. We've had a couple of home invasions within 3 miles in the last year.
This is a DISCUSSION forum. If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen.
“...that sketch actually looks like someone rather than a generic yout. Some people are good at their jobs....”

Yes...and that piece of “jewelry” tacked between the perp’s eyes on his forehead is pretty distinctive. I would suspect there will be some calls to the reward hot line generated by that sketch. Funny what you can uncover when you drag an easy $5K reward for “info leading to” through the ghetto.
Another Obamabot., thug, criminal & druggie.........hard at work doing his best to destroy America!!!
I can take the heat...apparently YOU, on the other hand, have difficulty dealing with anyone challenging YOUR thoughtless comments. OK, I’m off to check my white privilege.
I lost it on some kid about a week ago. My wife was home from work for a few days because the AC was out in her office. She called me and told a black kid was walking around knocking on doors in my Condo building. She said he had a clipboard and a red short that looked like a uniform type shirt.
She called back the next day to tell me they were back, I came home on my lunch break and told them they had to leave the property. The kid didn’t get mouthy but I could tell he assumed I was saying it because he was black. I don’t think he was prepared to hear me tell him “that’s exactly why!”.

AND 0 wants to spread the misery by making sure the white enclaves in the 'burbs have forced integration by dumping Section 8 housing all over.
But if the “poor innocent kids” had been killed DRT how much you want to bet the #blacklivesmatter crowd would have burned that house down?
What an evil sin-sick society we live in!
Here is Detroit, any large group of blacks is a real possibility of a shooting.
Looks to be the same in Rochester, NY (basketball shooting) and in this Atlanta story.
Woman says her area is increasing the strength of diversity.
They would have burned SOMEONE's house or car. Recommended for greeting groups of youts or "teens" on your doorstep at night

Through your self-righteousness, I guess you’re beginning to feel some of the indecency (IMHO) that you displayed.
How’s this for “making it personal”: Here’s the relevant go-fund-me link. I just made a $50 donation and challenge you to do the same. Of course you’re not likely to do so.
