Billionaire real estate mogul and presidential candidate Donald Trump continues to dominate the GOP field both in hurling insults at his fellow Republicans and in the polls, but now it appears his rivals have decided that if they’re going down, they’re going down swinging.
The Fox Business Network has learned that at least some of the campaigns are discussing an attack-ads blitz against The Donald in the coming weeks, according to several financial executives who have direct ties to the various campaigns. These people tell Fox Business that the campaigns of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio in particular are currently raising money with aims to hit Trump on various issues such as his controversial comments about immigration, as well as his record as a businessman, in these ads.
The campaign of Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul may also follow suit, they say. Those likely to stay out of the anti-Trump attacks include Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who has a similar position to Trump on immigration and is looking to siphon some of Trump’s support.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, meanwhile, is expected to spend money from his enormous war chest, which includes more than $100 million in so-called Super PAC money. But the Bush spending is expected to focus on his record in politics and underscore his skills as a candidate rather than in attacking rivals, fundraisers tell Fox Business. Super PACS are fundraising vehicles that can raise unlimited amounts of money but can’t work directly with campaigns.

Yep, but the stupid party is doubling down on stupid. Hope they have fun.
They’ve been using the typical media sources....that normally bring a guy down. So far, the media has screwed up the opportunities enough....that Trump actually gains more support.
The problem I see is that big-time donors will start to slide away from the Bush-crowd by November if Trump’s numbers stay where they are, and it turns into a mostly Trump-win situation in the primaries. If Trump wins five of the first six primary states...donors will stop their support for the remaining characters at that point.
The national party guys are sitting there in a state of shock. They just never imagined that the public would settle on Trump and he’s not an insider.
Maybe.
But don't underestimate the power of negative ads.
Everyone could end up "destroyed".
This may be their final gambit to see how serious Donal Trump is about running.
Certainly they'll go after his wife, kids...everyone, everything.
They are pretty good at it too. Just ask Newt. Or Cain.
He has to be ready to spend bunches of million$, early just to survive.
The best defense is a good offense.

How about a hostile takeover of the Republican infrastructure, and send the miserable GOP Establishment to the unemployment line? It can happen.

With Trump’s following he could purchase an hour of air time two or three times a week and use the time to skewer the opposition. His following is so huge that he could probably run commercial ads that not only would cover the air time but bring in a profit... if anyone could do that it’s Trump.
The man has contacts, he has ‘people’ he knows where the bodies are buried and he could bring a shovel each broadcast and dig up a few.
It would become must-watch-TV.
Mr Trump has demonstrated a mastery of social media that is outside the skill set of the GOPe. Anyone under 35 or so uses streaming media or dvrs for most tv watching. For those who still watch the conventional way...if my Dad is an indication of what seniors think, early ad blitzes just irritate the heck out of him.

He has said many times that he will respond to an attack...and has shown that his response is quick, massive, deadly and on target.
The assorted GOPe, MSM and dims cannot muster any sort of follow up.....the come off as childish, incompetent and frantic

Why is the GOP leadership trying to destroy their leading (most popular with their party) candidate?

They've been attempting to silence Trump since 6/16/2015. Those capable of critical thought understand why. It's all I and millions of others need to know. I'm simply done with all the big party pro-politicos.
