GOP Ganging Up to Trounce Trump?
Fox Business ^ | August 19th, 2015 | By Charlie Gasparino, Courtney Crawford

Billionaire real estate mogul and presidential candidate Donald Trump continues to dominate the GOP field both in hurling insults at his fellow Republicans and in the polls, but now it appears his rivals have decided that if they’re going down, they’re going down swinging.

The Fox Business Network has learned that at least some of the campaigns are discussing an attack-ads blitz against The Donald in the coming weeks, according to several financial executives who have direct ties to the various campaigns. These people tell Fox Business that the campaigns of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio in particular are currently raising money with aims to hit Trump on various issues such as his controversial comments about immigration, as well as his record as a businessman, in these ads.

The campaign of Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul may also follow suit, they say. Those likely to stay out of the anti-Trump attacks include Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who has a similar position to Trump on immigration and is looking to siphon some of Trump’s support.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, meanwhile, is expected to spend money from his enormous war chest, which includes more than $100 million in so-called Super PAC money. But the Bush spending is expected to focus on his record in politics and underscore his skills as a candidate rather than in attacking rivals, fundraisers tell Fox Business. Super PACS are fundraising vehicles that can raise unlimited amounts of money but can’t work directly with campaigns.

Because the federal government, which is comprised of the Democrat Party and the GOP, operates by way of a false narrative designed to make voters believe that there are two separate entities within government competing against each other, when in fact they are allies competing against the American people.

Elections are a charade designed to make us think that we have some sort of say so, when in fact we have no say so at all.

No matter which party is in power, the government agenda always moves forward, and its members and their employees enrich themselves extensively, while sticking it to us all day, every day.

All that matters is that we, the American people, are mesmerized by their carefully orchestrated kabuki theater long enough for them to get away with their long term schemes.

Elections and the daily narrative, whose construction is greatly aided by the media, a government ally, is basically The Matrix.

And Donald Trump is the red pill.

Trump is very vulnerable to a coordinated attack, more than most people realize.

I was reading an article which interviewed 20 Trump supporters earlier and I learned something very interesting.

Trump has 3 basic groups of supporters:

1. Conservatives that believe Trump is one of them
2. Liberals that believe Trump is one of them
3. Anarchists that just want to “burn everything down”

A coordinated attack that educated the public about what Trump really believes would cause Trump to lose the support of either 1 or 2.

These GOPers are acting like libs. Take out the messenger and kill the message instead of coming up with better ideas.

What a waste of resources, instead of training fire on Hillary and the Dems.

Oh, and with a few extra billion laying around, who would think that Trump hasn’t done his homework on the opposition?

Politicians have destroyed this country

Politicians are all owned by rich donors

Trump is not owned. Go Trump!

How about a hostile takeover of the Republican infrastructure, and send the miserable GOP Establishment to the unemployment line? It can happen.

If Cruz and Trump are able to do so this cycle - then Amen.

If not, then GOP will be known as the party that went the way of the Whigs.

And deservedly so. If Trump runs 3rd party and Cruz is not the nominee and we got Jeb - I will be voting third party, as will most real Conservatives.

Feckless Republican candidates attacking Trump sounds like a great game plan... for Trump.

"How about a hostile takeover of the Republican infrastructure, and send the miserable GOP Establishment to the unemployment line? It can happen."

I think we're seeing a hostile takeover.

Really there is no other way. We learned since 2009 TEA summer and 2010 elections that they will not change. They even play games with committee assignments, whisper campaigns, even gerrymandering Allen West out of his district. They are dirty rotten scoundrels. There is no takeover without hostility.

If Trump makes it, he should use his influence to insert Sarah Palin as RNC chair and clean out that nest of snakes.

It would be so entertaining too! Hang the suicide nets outside RNC headquarters and watch them fly. Or just skip the net, and watch anyway.

Like him or not, the Republican looks very bad if they have to “gang up on” any other candidate. It will backfire on the party itself and result in the electorate looking at all of them as buffoons...this is a civil war and the voting public is already sick of them.

True. Not that the public doesn't already look at them as buffoons.

The ones who seem to be emerging from this political entitlement cat fight are Trump, Cruz and Carson. The GOP and the left have been trying to destroy Cruz for a while now, with limited success. They'll double down on their efforts shortly.

Trump is the one who is really confounding them, and it's a delight to watch.

I am just pointing out what I see.

I read that article and was shocked about how his supporters view him.

Here's the deal. Trump refuses to be pinned down on any issue and is trickier and more combative when challenged about it.

Take his recent interview about illegals for instance.

Trump basically said “they have to go”

Reporter pushes a little and then Trump says “we will keep the families together” “the good ones will be allowed back quickly” but “they have to go”

Reporter pushes again and Trump simply repeats “they have to go!”

so... What exactly does Trump believe?

If you are on the right... all you hear is him saying “They have to go!” over and over. (Trump is great at this)

The thing is...

If you are on the left... you also heard him say “they have to go, BUT the good ones can come right back, and that families will be kept together”

People on the right watch and think Trump will deport all the illegals and their families and they will be gone for good. Jobs will be plentiful, wages will rise, the skies will part and America will be great again! *insert dramatic sound)

People on the left watch and think Trump “wants to keep families together” (awwwwwwwwwww) and that he will allow all the nice illegals back into the country “quickly” under some sort of expedited system (awwwwwwwwwww)

You see how this works?

Both sides are only hearing what they want to hear!

That is why Trump is vulnerable to attack. But not the kind of attacks you might have been thinking of, but just clarifying the details of what he truly wants to do so they people can no longer only hear what they WANT or THINK they are hearing.

if my Dad is an indication of what seniors think, early ad blitzes just irritate the heck out of him. Aside from that, I think they missed the point. It’s illegals and jobs you idiots!

You are right! Political ads months before elections of any kind are very irritating. I’m also a senior, so normally have my mind made up without any prodding by TV/radio ads.

Not successful in the corporate world, not successful in the political world, and doesn’t come across as genuine, at least not to me. Her attempts at ingratiating herself with the GOP elites by attacking Trump are annoying, to say the least.

Watch them attack and his numbers go up 5%.

The losers that think it’s unfair Trump hogs the ball forget, it was never their ball. Trump owns the balls in this contest. ;)
