I was chosen as an alternate once. The defense wanted me, the prosecution did not.
I think I’m probably assured of not being chosen for a jury on a murder case. I tell them up front I’m for the death penalty where it applies. - I just came off jury duty early this spring. Judge told us that we’d probably get some murder trials. We didn’t. I was just as glad. The pool that was called up after us got hit with a ton of murder trials. I’m 69 & getting too old to have to report for this stuff. This was twice my number got called. You have to practically be joined at the hip to that dynamic. - When do they stop this madness?
